Thank you and congratulations for the sweet voice and the happy faces you did in this record.

    Have fun!

  • Simply marvelous vocal!

  • Ooh just discoverd you! I'm a fan. The only other vocalversion that I know is from Chet Baker but I like this one much more...

    Who wrote those lyrics?

    All the best

  • The lyrics of Chet Bakers version were written by Bill Loughborough. Singer Mary Ann Moore wrote these, beautifully sung by Guitaress1.

  • wow love your music! 5*****

  • hey guitar-s thanks for all your straight-up sunny -side up renditions.i find myself going to u for correct readings.not to say that u don't put your own little darling stamp on each tune u dig....wish i could have a friend like you.....

  • Very nice! Can someone write here the lyrics for this song?

  • I.m playing guitar myself for 40 years. I like your playing. Very good. I did'nt know that tere are lyrics for this song. In the sheet music I have there are no words.

  • very good

  • Hi Guitaress1, I heard this tune sung by Ruth Young, I think, in the film Let's Get Lost featuring Chet Baker, I loved it and I love your version too. Lovely voice and nice guitar playing. Could I get a copy of the lyrics please ? I took down most of it but there are some lines I can't get. Thanks.

  • Wonderful & Great

  • This is beautiful and very charming. Lacky

  • Good timing, very nice ;-)

  • Love this! Thanks *****

  • How nice! Didn't know there were lyrics to this tune. I'm enjoying your other tunes and am subscribing. BTW, what part of the country are you based in?

  • if you are interested in, you can hear a beatiful version sung by chet baker in the pacific record "Chet Baker & Crew".

    Enjoy the tune!

  • i tasted words few days ago with my quartet: that's right "kinda clever" you said... in a very bright mood.

    many thanks again!

  • Sweet!

You will post a video of it soon I hope?

    Best wishes!

  • I have posted words now. Hope that helps.

  • Even the great Djanco couldn't have done a better job at playing those complex chords and singing with such fluidity. Very uplifting and full of joie de vivre!

    Bertrand Dugas, Montréal

  • What a great tune! Never heard it before. Thanks for the introduction. Your voice, as always, is lovely.

  • nice work if you can get it and you... GET IT!!! great swing, i like your vocal performance... beautiful, beautiful!! I'm a jazz singer (better to say - i'm trying) from italy and i'm so crazy about this tune that I play it on every set... unfortunately only scat singin 'cause the original Bill Loughborough's lyrics are missing everywhere.

I would be very lucky If I could sing yours: any chance?

Anyway thanks for the gift. All the best (Simone)

  • Hi Simone, So nice to hear from you. I never heard the original Bill Loughborough lyrics, maybe they are easier to sing! But these are kinda clever. I put them up in the description box if you want them. They are from a singer named Mary Ann Moore, so I hope it's OK with her.

  • You make me rediscover one of my favorite tunes, and moreover you give a joyful undertone to a song I (wrongly) believed to be purely melancholy. Wonderful! Your voice literally dances between or above the cool guitar chords.

  • Hi Pedro, Your opinion means a lot to me. :-)

I like hot jazz and cool jazz so I guess that makes my blend lukewarm jazz!

  • You'll turn "lukewarm", usually intended as a reproach, into a very hot quality.

  • Your best yet. Hey, I am waiting for Besame Mucho Bossa style.

  • Hi Thanks so much! I still want to do that thing!

  • Very good !

    That swings !

    Christian.

  • I'm so glad I found you.Lovely stuff.

  • Great choice and performance. I agree that there are too many good songs and not enough time.

I often think that sax players often wanted to be singers, and vice versa.

  • Hey It's a beautiful version!

    You remind me blossom Dearie

    ;-)

    Congrats From Paris France!

    Chris

  • thanks!

  • Great choioe, great singing and great rhythm playing once again! I enjoyed these latest videos of yours. Nice job!

  • Thanks Steve. I was in a mood of "just get it done already." Should probably practice BEFORE, but I practice WHILE making videos. So many good songs and not enough time!

  • Excellent again, a really great performance! Tell me, what is that multi coloured screen behind you?

  • Thanks again, Pete. It's one of my unfinished quilts, hanging on a flannel board. When I'm not obsessing on music I make things with fabric and give them away. The colored fabrics are all hand-dyed batiks, going for a stained glass effect. One day I need to finish it for my brother, but now it's hiding my junk!

  • 5 Stars. Jerry was a genius. You did a great job. One of my favorite tunes.

  • Thanks. Yes, I especially love his pianoless stuff, what an arranger, and who doesn't love bari sax.

  • Compliments.

  • Thanks.

  • good good !! Vinicius Barros ( Brazil !)

  • thanks, ciao!
