@thetrialshot : As far as I know Green Editions doesn't have a power-connector. ie, 6ping, 8pin etc. It's just a plain powerful card.

lol, trying to recommend this card to my friend, I hear so much good stuff about it..

so cheap and looks to play all games smoothly, cept Crysis and Metro 2033

but they aint games, they are benchmarks.. lol

he's using my old 8400GS atm paired witha Athlon 3200+ (plans to upgrade to a Athlon dual core 4450 very soon)

@ivansegos : Multiplayer only requires a high speed internet connection to be able to play smoothly.

@ivansegos tell him not to bother to upgrade to an athlon x2 unless he has a old ass motherboard and that is his only choice.If he can afford it, I would suggest any of the phenoms whihc would be a considerable upgrade from a single core. I currently have an amd athlonx2 @ 2.4ghz and I can feel my processor straining on the current gen games.

@JuanAngelAmaro : Green or non-green are consider the same when it comes to performance, I would go to Green if I have a power-bill issue. Lol. And a 700w is a over-kill for one 9800GT, 500w is more than enough.

@charliephayer123 : Actually, V-sync doesn't improve the performance, to some it only ruins the game because of massive screen-tearing. With games like this you won't notice the screen tearing apart. LOL.

Is your card overclocked? I have an AMD 955 3.2 GHz quad core with a 1GB version of the 9800 GT, 4 gigs of ram, 700W PS, etc. and I get between 40-50 fps more often than 60. With lower settings than those you had. Overall nice compliation, though.

@PreformedSoup : First, sorry for late reply. Ok, I never OC anything, just stock speed. May it's a game problem why your fraps is very low at that rig, or maybe, you're running multiple softwares while playing.

I have the green edition and it weakens the card by 25%!!!!! I have overclocked it to the power it should be and still it is working fine with no problem. 600mh clock and 900mh file on both sides.
