Shows I recommend if you like Dexter are Breaking Bad (Highly recommend) and The Walking Dead, which is surprisingly gaining strength as a dramatic series. Not just a horror.

After re-watching Season 4, I noticed that Trinity says "it's already over" when he makes the mother jump to her death in one of the first episodes of the season. Him saying it here is great foreshadowing to Rita's death.

John Lithgow's character was so interesting because if you think about it, if Dexter eventually stops working for the police, this is what he could become later in life, if he doesn't have access to police files to actually know who the real bad guys are out there, he could end up resorting to just killing random people to satisfy his craving, and it could get out of control just like it did for Arthur and his family would suffer. Arthur = Dexter 25-30 years in the future.
Dexter would never end up like Trinity. Trinity kills in a pattern. It's what allowed Lundy and Dexter to catch him. There is nothing truly random about what he does. But he could end up like his Brian. Brian is exactly what Dexter is without a code.

Of all the Dexter villains, Trinity was the only one who scared me. The Ice Truck Killer was cool, Doakes was badass, Lilah was hot, Miguel was a chessmaster, but Trinity...just plain creepy.

John Lithgow's character was so interesting because if you think about it, if Dexter eventually stops working for the police, this is what he could become later in life, if he doesn't have access to police files to actually know who the real bad guys are out there, he could end up resorting to just killing random people to satisfy his craving, and it could get out of control just like it did for Arthur and his family would suffer. Arthur = Dexter 25-30 years in the future.

Dexter would never end up like Trinity. Trinity kills in a pattern. It's what allowed Lundy and Dexter to catch him. There is nothing truly random about what he does. But he could end up like his Brian. Brian is exactly what Dexter is without a code.

I have not seen the 5th season yet, but from what I've heard it's not going to be as good as this season...I'm not suprised- I don't know how you could top the 4th season, the Dexter Vs. Trinity chemistry was just perfect!

one thing i didnt get was WHO KILLED dexter's wife RITA? I thought it was the trinity killer john lithgow, but 1) how did the trinity killer find out where dexter lived, and 2) How did the trinity know about Dexter's past and about how dexter's mother was killed in front of him.

@tigerjonn Dunno if anyone answered your question regarding Ritas death. When he met Dexter at his work, he saw his name was Dexter Morgen. Rita and Dex was married, so it was easy to find

Of all the Dexter villains, Trinity was the only one who scared me. The Ice Truck Killer was cool, Doakes was badass, Lilah was hot, Miguel was a chessmaster, but Trinity...just plain creepy.

@Bladerunner93 Doakes wasn't exactly a villain.. Lila was hot, I would agree but Miguel was just a wannabee bad guy who killed people threatening to ruin his career.. He did not have any psychopathic background that Trinity or the Ice Truck Killer had.. Trinity was the best of all the villains, I do agree he's creepy

I have an increased sense of outrage when women and especially children are the victims of sick assholes like this, and I gotta say if I were Dexter and I was killing Trinity I wouldn't be so nice about it.
Forget talking. Forget giving him any of his requests. I would just beat him until he begged for death. And then I would unload a pistol into his head until his skull resembled a bashed open watermelon.
Play a song for the child killer? Yeah, I doubt it.

Showtime are a bunch of hypocritical pussies. they will show full on nudity and softcore porn but wont show Dexter butchering his enemies completely. I woulda really loved to see dexter beat trinity to death and cut him up. but no. they cut it out right when he swings the hammer
