I TOTALLY agree and understand what you're saying: But try to imagine the TIME in this! I built a Cutty Sark in mahogany/glass case, 2.5'x3.5''15" and 2.5 YEARS!!! I didn't work on it straight through, it took that long to get motivated and done with it, it was donated to a library... it was literally too big to move with my car! NEVER AGAIN! Same here-I had to build a model of the Titanic for school-both a wreck model and the ship-without a kit. It looked great, but it took so long that I thought id go INSANE before I got done! lol I would NEVER have the heart to put it in water (it was made from poster board and paper) haha
