I have a micro hi-fi sony system and i dont know how so much bass can come frome that thing. I also turn the volume to the max and still a clear and powerfull sound.

Oh... By the way, the speakers of mine have wood box.

pshh put ti on the rock setting. i think they droped the sub size to a 6 inch woofer that yea? i got the MHC-GX450 and it cranks some serious tunes i can have the volume maxed on alot of things without distortion. also didnt they do away with the bas button on the sub itself i seen a modlle that had the button on the reciever and i also seen a newer modlles were it had a bas nob on the woofer. CHECK OUT THE NEW muteki mini hi-fi!

yo also the best sound system speakers for a living room is yamaha becuase i have the new surround sound system and the bass everything is so clear and perfect sound of course like all speakers when you trun the volume all the way up they distort but theyy kick so much ass

yes i know what you are saying. both my uncles have home theater systems upwards of 2500 dollars a peice. one even has a 1000 watt sub. but i dont think that the amplifier is right foe these speakers. doesnt put off enough wattage. also depends on the input, i currently have mine hooked up to my computer and thats is waaaay better than a ipod.

Replying to the video's comment "even at high volumes the speakers don't distort at all". I'm not dissing you system, but you will come to realise that they do distort and by some way when you listen to a stereo of true high quality. Even the most expensive of hifi (£/$10,000s upwards) still have some form of distortion and colourisation, so you will notice the difference if you were to put these side by side with something else.
