Dervla Kirwan is absolutely brilliant. She's uniquely and stunningly beautiful, unaffected, intelligent, genuine, eloquent, sincere, and a subtle and brilliantly talented actress. I wish there were more parts for actresses like Dervla, instead of the constant barrage of superficial rubbish we are mostly subjected to on TV day after day.

I do agree that fashion can be art (McQueen's work certainly was), but I do not agree that fashion has been empowering women. Most designers are male and while female supermodels make more money than their male counterparts, the era of female supermodels is pretty much over and has been quite short.
