Well that's true they pretty much did although few knew it at the time. Their first album predates Anglagard, Spock's Beard, Roine Stolts Flower King(and the Flower Kings)Discipline and Anekdoten.
@Frbman379 I'm a keyboardplayer from Milan (Italy) and I like Echolyn's "Suffocating the Bloom" very much. It's the best progressive album of the nineties, along witih "Hybris" by Anglagard (even though this latter is always in the vein of the experimental prog rock of the seventies a-la Shylock or the experimental Yes and early King Crimson), "Dust and Dreams" plus "Harbour of Tears" by Camel and...my former band Lethe's album entitled "Nymphae" (eh eh, let me joke for a while!!)

echolyn was the greatest prog band of the 90s. They basically started the new prog revolution.
