@ 1:57 Shakespeare died in 1616, the year 1728 isn't 'early' at all in any debate over his authorship. According to this video it took 112 years for anyone to question Shakespeare's authenticity and this evidence runs counter to its claims.

Not necessarily, the topics and themes acted out were interpretations of the wealthy or the 'better off' so of course this is going to appeal to the common peasant. It was a rendition of what life was like for the fortunate mixed with exaggerated situations to thicken the plot. Not gonna lie, if you actually understand what's going on in these Shakespearean plays you will see that they are similar to today's crap on TV except some of these gestures and actions have been censored. In other words, by today's standards, an erected penis or boner is no longer a compliment for whom you direct that sexual gesture to but sexual harassment if done in a public place. There were no age restrictions for sex and often children participated in such actions were not offended.
