I honestly doubt that this one thing would have much of an impact on such 'true believers'. I mean the bible says the Sun goes around IT! And that the world is only 6000 years old! etc, etc. Christians and (again I assume) Muslims have a great way of rationalizing just about ANY contradiction of their faith and science. I honestly can't see Aliens having much of an effect.

They wouldn't change us by their words, they would affect us (with their energy) ...after all this universe is composed of nothing BUT energy. And when that higher energy comes into contact with us, it would automatically change our perception on what we BELIEVE to be true TO what actually IS true...

@frankensteinmoneymac ...kind of how when we communicate with a close animal to us such as a pet. I sometimes didn't have to say anything to my dog. I'd just have to give a non-verbal command and he right away knew what I was trying to convey. Same thing with Aliens and us. We just have to make contact (if the government would allow it) ...The government would rather we live in our little worlds and believe what ever they want us to believe (religion) for their OWN benefit. Which is inevitable.

I don't understand why so many people say if aliens from another planet and their spaceships exist they'll mess up everybodys belief or religion. Like the aliens are going to give us a different bible or what. I think aliens will have the opposite effect on people, even people that never prayed will pray.

I think the truth is coming out quite fast enough on it's own with ufo's appearing and people filming them. I think that's the plan anyway. I used to think they should just disclose everything all at once. Not anymore! I've read too many comments from ignorant people and realized that a huge number of them just can't handle the truth. It' must be spoon fed to them in small doses. Now if there is something bad going to happen that the govt knows about, we ought to know about it.

well i partially agree with mk6758 but i also understand why they'd cover it up and hide it from the public. because if they just throw it out there and just say "Hey they are real an they always have been" The world would go into a judgment frenzy , denounce their faith an cities would be in chaos. Thats why plain an simple. as a believer myself i would lover to hear the government say the truth for once but i don't count on it.

The WHOLE WORLD should declassfy ufo files... there is NO reason to keep that information from the public, it's flat out wrong. People have the right to know if we are alone or not, the government can't decide that.

@mk6758 People who have religious faith will not be able to accept that Earth is not the center of life. That is why they can't disclose. It is as simple as that. Earth will continue to be a class ZERO society until everyone on the planet is ready to accept other life forms. Because of religion humans cannot accept each other so there is no way we can accept off worlders. Not safe yet.

The media USED to make people feel like freaks for believing (not that I'm into it either way, mostly because we have enough technology to fake an invasion and who the hell would ever know the difference anyway) beyond that it's a hot trend. It's all alien agenda everywhere in Hollywood. History channel plays the new age alien stuff all day long. 40 major movies in development not counting many over the past 4-5 years that have already come out. Even INDY 4 had an alien theme.
