There is no cure for this Virus, its up to the person themselves what they do to help the pigeon ? but i would dispatch it in a humane manner, as it will eventully die of starvation and dehidration, there is little or no risk of contacting the virus in this situation , and if so the effects are mild and not serious ?

Now it's time for a serious comment, This pigeon is suffering from Paramoxa virus. [NEWCASTLES DESEASE] it affects the central nervous system, and will spread to other bird species, it started in Asia and is spreading fast throughout the west and into Europe.

The pigeons in Glasgow Central are hideous. Half of them have warped legs and can barely walk. The other are almost too fat to fly.. Someone should go through at night with an air rifle..

Your 'drunk' pigeon probably got clipped by a car or bike or flew into a window..
