  • Great review. I wish all the other makes and models had reviews this detailed and clear. No unnecessary music just straight to the point good and bad about a bike. Perfect info for a potential customer.

  • Wow, is that off Africa. Looks like it would be a great place to ride. For the price the 900VN is hard to beat!

  • Hi, Nice video and review. I rented the vn900 Classic for some days in Gran Canaria and it was perfect for cruising at medium speed and acceraltion up to 120km/h.

  • Picking up my 2011 Vulcan 900 classic March 1. This will be my first bike and I can't wait! Looking forward to a great season on this bike. You have the absolute best video on the Vulcan 900 on youtube hands down. Any advice for an enthusiastic beginner in regards to the 900 classic you can give me? Thanks again. Cheers!

  • @lambchop00 This bike is priced very competetively and is high quality.

  • If you can ride a bicycle this MC should be great. It will take some time to get used to the shifting, clutch, front and rear brake. This is normal. Just take it to a large paved parking lot and practice. The biggest advantage is the bike is light for its size and the seat is low enough most people can flat foot it. That will build your confidence quickly!

  • Hi, I have never ridden a motorcycle in my life, but I´m very cautious person. Do you think I can start with this motorcycle? I don't wanna buy a small one because I don't like them.

  • looks great...great color scheme

  • hank hill?

  • Uau! Que linda!

Nela eu daria a volta ao mundo!...

  • Beautiful bike and nice video.I own the same model you can see it in my song video

  • Good video. you gave alot of good info. I beleive I'm sold on the vn900.

  • VULCAN!!

  • I know what I want now, thanks!! 900cc volcan

  • Great review - if I wasn't sold already I am now - Vulcans are my favourite bike (well favourite affordable bike for me)

    Thanks for your review

  • Thanks for the review. I'm about to buy this bike... does anyone know how much aback rest cost on it?

  • @Blackmunkey12 According to some places online its arround £200 which at the current conversion rate is $323

  • @Blackmunkey12 Although I'm pretty sure if you buy this exact model - all these parts shown come with it (VN900 LT Classic)

  • I just bought a 2011 900 Classic. However, the clicking noise is ever present and seems to get louder as it warms up.Still nothing to worry about? Thanks

  • Glad I'm not the only one who is always "feeling" for 6th gear!! I tried a 1500 Vulcan and the extra 200 lbs makes for more "work". Only correction I would make is about the chrome (there really isn't any chrome on this bike - all plastic) but that is why it costs $7000 less than a comparable Harley! What is great about this is that if you buy a good plastic polish, you can use it to clean everything from the windshield and fenders to the engine and side covers! It does shine up really nice.

  • Great review! Thanks for helping me make up my mind that the Vulcan 900 will be my first bike!

  • Really Great Review!!! Thank You, you helped me a lot!!!!!!

P.S. You have a Hard rock voice \m/

  • I have this exact same bike, color and all. I really love it. Very easy bike to ride. Superb review!!!

  • Have been looking at this bike for awhile! You review sold me! Thanks!

  • thanks for the great video good job

  • thanks for the great video

  • I have the exact same bike as you, mine is a 2007, and if you're looking for a little bit more gear on the highway, I recommend going to a 200/70-15 tire on the back. It reduces engine speed by about 4% and gives you a little bit wider look from the back. I went with a Metzeler ME880 and have to say it is probably one of my favorite mods, especially since I needed to replace the stock tire anyway. Definitely something to think about.

  • You can replace the front and rear belt pullys which will make each gear taller. Since I don't do much freeway driving I'm gonna pass. The pulleys are expensive.

  • Very good review. I have a 2010 Vulcan and I LOVE it! Spent all last summer on it.

You're right about the cruising speed and that feeling that you need another gear. I can't tell you how many times I've thought, "I must be in fourth gear," only to find that I'm in 5th. But, it's smooth and comfortable around 60 m.p.h. Not a great bike for long Interstate rides, but it's great for everything else!

  • @Raydo97 I greatly beg to differ regarding not being great for long interstate rides. I have a '07 and have but over 26,000 miles on it. The longest trip I've done was a 8,200 mile trip across the US and granted, it's not a touring bike, however, it's still pretty comfortable. I did upgrade to a Mustang seat, but even without the seat, long trips are not a problem. If you're interested, take a look at my bike on my profile...

  • Thats one sharp looking bike. You did an awesome job on your review BTW.

  • I really Loved your description of the cycle... even loved the way you called it the "POTATO" sound. Thank you for taking the effort and putting up a lovely video. Cheers and Have a lovely New Year!!

  • The oil filler cap has a big slot so a regular flat bladed screwdriver might mark it. So I have a flat file that is almost as wide as the slot is long. I insert the file and then turn the file with vise grips. I just snug it up not too tight...... You could use a paint sturring paddle too...

  • The oil is JASO motorcycle rated, doesn't have the enviromental additives that will damage the wet clutch. Also the Vulcan website has many members using it in their 900s so it is the oil of choice over Mobil 1, Purple, Amsoil and other synthetics. I changed to it at my 600 mile check up. The transmisson shifts smoother with it. I think Walmart is the cheapest place to get it.

  • @badchuckie . Thanks for the info. on the oil. Just one question

which tool do you use to unscrew the oil filler cap.

  • I have the same bike. I work at an automotive supply company which sells Rotella

T-6 oil. There is no info. on the label that states it is motorcycle friendly. If I may ask,

how did you find out it can used in a bike ?

  • Very nice bike review. I'm eyeballing this same one and was looking for a biker review. I'd say you did a great job. Thanks for taking the time to post.
