  • Wow, you arcs look better here with 12 volts rather than your 15 volt power supply, the 12 volt must have the current available to power a ZVS. If you use 15 volt zeners and a slightly higher ohm resistor than the 470, such as 560 (I think 560 is good) you can easily push in 40 volts at as much current as it consumes... For ZVS, a good power supply would be a rewould, rectified and well smoothed MOT

  • see my DBZ sparking meteor vid!

  • What about to add more flyback's? jeje

  • in the inductor while more current less value, while less current more value.

    I know that.

  • In my plans i want to use two 220Ohm resistor 20W with a 220Ohm 20W resistor united with one another to give 440Ohm for more higher voltages in the input.

I changed the toroid inductor (the core was little, 5 or 6 turns only) by an home-wound inductor (more big and better than other)with 22 turns.

For the flyback i used an ac disk shaped flyback transformer, for the driver coil, 5+5 turn center tapped.

    My 0.75uF cap works good, the 0.45uF( 0.22uFx2) mkp's doesn't work.

  • ye there is a veriaty of things you could change about this curcuit, for example you could change the 12 volt zener diodes with 16 or 18 volt ones, do alot of exparimenting with inductor values aswell In general, if one requires more voltage output, he should use a larger inductor For more current, use a smaller value inductor

  • Which mosfet do you use?

  • irfp250

i use every component that mazzili said to use

  • awesome!i never think that the arc can generate 2000 degrees in the center!

well, all type of plasma can generate thousands of degrees celcius like the fire, electric arc...

  • The air when you are drawing arcs? cool! you can see that the arcs can generate the ion wind, warm by the action of the hot arc.

    Its true!

  • When you are drawing any arc, approach your hand in the top of the arc (dont touch that!).

Very hot like the fire, no?

  • its actually hotter than fire its bascicly plasmathe temp is like 2000 degrees in the center of the arc

  • I've made an ZVS driver with IRF640 instead if IRFP250 power mosfet's.

The arcs are very hot at 12V input

The arcs like an flame! I think to make an arc cooker for make meat or other foods Mmmmmmm!:D

  • ye there is just sume thing about these arcs, like there white hot and you can see the air around them being manipulated
