@marokokisetter i think he sings fine in most acoustic sets! but when they perform live as a band he's just trying to enjoy himself u know what i mean
along those lines: i also heard "pull me out of the flames" in this version. considering he says air crash right before, this makes more sense to me than "pull me out of the lake" on the album version.
um... you might be on to something. maybe he original wrote car crash & the reference to the flames. but he thought it might be too close to life so changed it to air crash and the lake.
