Ah, lyric changes. We performed a RENT medley for my school concert, and La Vie Boheme was part of it. Seems a bit out of place to be singing about living the life of a Bohemian and have to censor what you say to please society, huh?

Well our school did the entire play. Big metal table & a piano, that's all we really needed. We did have costumes, and we have great lighting. We had 1 Mark, not 3, and we did have to change the lyrics. So this one was great, but not so at the same time.

Well obviously we can't keep the lyrics...this was performed for our whole highschool, we couldn't have done it unless we changed words. The way we did it was we took the song and broke it into 20 or so pieces, and then gave either one person or a couple a part to sing, so we all had something to sing instead of the whole song being done by one person.
Man...even if others at my highschool liked RENT...I don't think we'd be able to get away with performing it at school- first we'd be MOBBED by the other students and beaten to a mass of bloody pulps and dragged along the halls before we got expelled.
But I think this was a great performance. Wonderful voices, and it looks like it was a blast. Lucky people...
This shit is garbage...How many ppl are needed to play mark? It looks like you just memeorized the song from the movie and said "hey lets perform it" Our school did it ten times better with actuall costumes and a table.oh yeah...one mark....you all are a desgrace to the orginal cast
this better be an arts school bc if it isnt this would be sooo hard to sit through!
