Why would you use the stigma Advanced Stamina when you have full hp? For those that don't know, it heals a % of your hp and increases your max by 50% while increasing defensive stats. It lasts 2 minutes and has a 3 minute cooldown. You should be using it when you're at about 50-75% hp.
I have a 23 Gladiator on the NA Beta. It destroys everything but has some down time when farming and questing constantly due to having to bandage/rest every few mobs.
ahh... yeah i can't decide which one to be. I was a gladiator on the beta and it was sweet but there was a lot of downtime and resting. And its annoying but it would take longer to kill things if a was a templar.
well templars can take an lot of damage before dyeing and do less damage. But Gladiators Do More damage but don't have as much defense. I am a gladiator and there sick. You do more damage and still stay alive. Plus with the polearm you can kill multiple mobs at once.
On the subject of the poleaxe/polearm thing, can anyone tell me and pros and cons of the polearms as compared to the greatswords? I see so many using the polearms and so few using the greatswords, yet ive always seen myself using a greatsword. Is there something that makes the polearm better, or just coincidence that almost all gladiator vids have the gladiator using one?
it should be that polearms have a maximum dmg higher but a minimum dmg lower example: deals damage from 100 - 200 . While swords have a minimum dmg higher and a maximum lower: like deals damage from 120 - 180. And polearms should be slower than swords and vice versa when executing abilities and normal attacks. So conclusion swords have a better sustained dps while polearms have greater spike damage. Correct me if im wrong though anyone^^
Actually, the stats on the Polearm are better for PvP cuzz they have more Crit Hit, and more wide range of damage, in the other hand, the GreatSword provides u less time between attacks, but slower damage per swing, less Crit Hit, and Parry (this sucks), and in PvP u have to fuck hard ur enemy when u reach him/her cuzz as a Melee Class ur not going to be always close to them... but the most important reason is...

With a Templar you'd have less down time, but you'd be killing mobs at around Half the speed of a Gladiator.

Yeah, once you hit 10 and go Gladiator you can pick a sword to go with, and then swords can be chosen through quests/AH to use.
