One thing i will give polaris points for and that's the fdl works perfectly for atv tracks.

Better than any other stock atv except the Suzuki kingquad.

A polairs will plow now better than a can-am of comparable size. Simply because it's heavier.

The can-am tows better than the polaris.

Both machines are roughly equal in ability. Polaris require about 2x to 3x more upkeep to maintain their edge. Which makes them an expensive long term atv.

I did love my X2 while i had it . However i ended up going back to my outlander, honda or suzuki far too many times due to polaris quality problems.

I agree . Two feet of snow (even fluffy) is pushing the limits for the common atv and even some utvs.

The AC diesel will do better. However that's in an different class of atv power use.

Granted most " show how good an atv is" videos don't include the damage from even short term abuse.

Unless you build you own custom atv from scratch with long extreme term work & play in mid. You can't expect miracles from "in it for the money" manufactuers.

i'm sorry, but... the can am has more hp than the polaris, the can-am 800 has about 10 hp for every 100lbs, the new sportsman xp, only 8hp, the 800 can am has 71 hp, the 850 xp, only 69.1, that can am owns the polaris, and the polaris company is so lame, that when they compared the 800 to the new xp, they used a 2007 800r against an 09 800 xp!, polaris sucks!

All I have to say is I have one friend up here in Maine he has a Can-Am 800 Max. The rest own Polaris 800's. When out ice fishing he's always stuck and he can drive., But in the woods and mud of Maine nothing beats a Polaris. He traded it in and bought a 850XP and loves it.. I've owned Arctic Cat, Yami's, and Polaris. I'll take my Polaris anyday. Thats just my opinion and what works best for me and my buds. I like certain things about most all makes. I just like more things about Polaris.
