Oh please. They had the knowledge of where the officer's barracks were, along with administrative buildings, and the gas chambers. They also could have bombed the train tracks to slow down their little operation. They chose not to because they feared losing support for the war if all the anti-Semites back home viewed it as a war to save Jews.

When the Soviets " liberated" many camps on the eastern front they just changed the inmates... and if the allies knew about Auswitz and "did nothing" what were they supposed to do they were kind of busy.

@paulsviplist "I.G Farben" was one, that was the enormous industrial complex that used slave labour from Auschwitz and Birkenau. That's really the only one I know, but I know there are many more. Interestingly, Topf (or Kopf) and Son made the ovens for Auschwitz, and the Kopf and Son stamp can be seen on them still today.
Also, the company that manufactured the Zyklon B prussic acid used in the gas chambers is still around, and is in the business of aborting babies. =)

@paulsviplist Even Bayer, the asprin kingmakers were indirectly involved with labour in the war; I believe it was owned by Farben. A google search will bring up the subsidiaries of collaborative corporations, including those in the US: like Ford and the Bushes.

@DayveIsh you forgot Bayer, back then it was a subsidiary of IG Farben and supplied guinea pigs to Mengele's Mad Scientist Lab, also when IG was broken up by the US its legal personality was divided in two companies, one being Bayer.
So, in retrospective, Bayer still has the inherited from IG Farben 42,5% of the now inexistent manufacture of Zyklon-B

A LOT! now how about you take a single bomber, and fly it to aushwitz. a a few bombs to destroy the crematorium is all what is needed. the area never had proper AA. they could have done it whenever they wanted but they didn't. why? i don't know. busy is definetly not the answer
