  • Linda's voice is great. This is actually a wonderful song. And this song reflects some of the earlier genius of McCartney. Something about that earlier stuff of McC seemed to reflect or engender a nostalgia for the French art movement of the late 1890s. Rubber Soul did this for me. A Christmas album in our home. In this song, Linda lends a kind of honesty to it. A krispness and edge, despite some out-of-tune notes, that relays that honesty. She's beautiful in this.

  • YOKO does not sing, at all.

  • Compared to yoko, Linda was like Susan boyle. She was sweet, kind, very pretty, and loved animals so much she became a vegetarian along with Paul. While yoko would set up an air mattress under paul's piano during the beatle days at abbey road, and she would screech while Paul was singing or recording, but kept quiet wen John recorded. I have great respect for John Lennon but he could've done better. Paul and Linda had the longest lasting relationship of the beatles. If only John stayed with Cyn

  • @ST0MPO why don't you shut your fucking mouth? First of all, you've apparently never heard of him, and he has more talent in his finger than you do in your whole body, bitch. 2 He was bass player for the beetles and wrote many amazing songs that are way better than this lovely song. 3, The blonde lady playing keyboard was his wife and she died of cancer over 13 years ago. And 4, don't go judging people by what they look like, you scumbag. I bet you all the money in your wallet your a fat loser

  • there's nobody on the stadium

  • I wish you a happy happy birthday Paulie.I hope this will be one of many many more birthdays to come.I just can't imagine a world without you.Keep illuminating this world for many many more years.I light a candle in my heart for you.I really love you.Paul McCartney lives forever!!!!

  • What the fuck is he on about?????? He reminds me of Joey Deacon here (no disrespect to Joey)

  • What the fuck??? This cunt wants lockin up. What a fuckin wanker. Some body somewhere should put a stop to this bastard!!!

  • Linda couldn't sing either. McCartney just did well covering up her voice. However, she was a great match for Paul. They seemed like a great team. Yoko was just a flake. Lennon could have had anyone..........

  • Paul is a God, John was a God, Yoko was a minion , Linda was a Goddess It's a pity we tend to listen to the Minions more because they are louder it's a shame.

  • I said one more time, and maybe later one more time too

THIAS IS THE BEST MUSICIAN EVER!!!

  • 6 people are not bluebirds

  • cancion bellisima

  • Linda brought a good harmony to Wings.

  • Yoko and Linda can't sing. They ruin good songs. I wanna hear Paul and John not them.

  • Paulie loves birds- Blackird, Bluebird, Jennny Wren, his band name is Wings

  • Great to see Jimmy McCollough enjoying himself. R.i.p. lOVELY TRACK!!

  • yoko didnt break up the beatles, you ignoramus', it would've happened eventually, and you would've been blaming all hundreds of other reasons if it wasn't her, just let go of it for eff's sake.

  • Yea but I also loved John! And to think he was killed because he was over wasting his time on one of YUCKO'S songs that night! What a waste! At least she released those tapes so the other beatles could finish it "Free as a Bird!"

  • Yea but I also loved John! And to think he was killed because he was over wasting his time on one of YUCKO'S songs that night! What a waste!

  • sounds like bloopbir to me >_>

But no, seriously, I. LOVE. THIS. SONG. Paul, how do you write such AMAZING songs? You're one brilliant man.

  • PAUL IS A MUSICAL GOD

  • I love this song. It's really relaxing.

But the "magic kiss" part makes me twitch everytime. magic kiss... pff, no seriousely.

Anyway, aprt from that, it's an amazing song.

  • Love ALL colored birds of Sir PAUL ... And ALL MASTERPIECES created by GENIUS - MUSICIAN !

  • Yeah ok in this case i'm agree about that...

  • i love the sax in this!!

  • who cares about his hair? his music is what's importnat. at least he's not bald like Britney Spears. Paul was a rocksstar- he could have any rebelious style he wanted, and peopel would lsiten for his music regardless of looks.

  • Sounds better in C Minor, like the album.

  • @quiznationrules

    really...

  • @quiznationrules Hello, but i preffer this version...

  • @Benderwolfran Mhmm. BTW, turns out it was G minor; I kept thinking of the chords of the refrain section.

  • this song is great i love paul!!!!

  • In the eighties Paul does wear his hair in mullet

  • Paul's hair at this time was a shag, not mullet.

  • @caprice6 I should know, I had this hair my senior year

  • That mullet hurts my eyes

  • If this is circa 1976 then I don't think that's a mullet which came in in the 1980's. It's more of a pre-mullet look but I don't know what they called it.

  • They used to call that cut a "Shag" as I recall

  • Thanks! The 'Shag'-I noticed that style on other seventies artists like Fleetwood Mac and Heart.

  • Yeah. It's more like you say. One thing for sure is that it looked way better than his big mullet from 1989-1993.

That was like a bullet (or a mullet) in the head.

  • OH QUE GENIAL PAUL MCCARTNEY!

  • "..at last we will be free... bluebirds you and me... " aw yeah!

  • I love this song too. Blue birds are FREE! Free to fly, sounds good to me! :)

  • Love this song....

    I am a Blue bird....:-)

  • such a great song

  • love the song so much<3<3

    soooo beautiful, just great.

    Wings<3<3

    Paul McCartney<3<3

  • is that a 12 string Ovation? something like the Glen Campbell model? it looks like one.

  • Comment removed

  • This is talent.

  • linda wasnt/didnt even need to acheive a perfect vocal. dont yall get it. its supposed to be like this. damn.

  • I Love Linda and miss her!

  • I think that this is just lovely, Paul and Linda were a beautiful couple..

  • yes I think so,too.

    really beautiful

    RIP Linda

    ='(

  • Someone mentioned earlier that he never performs this song anymore. Wonder if it is difficult for him for the memories.

Sounds like Linds loved this song, as, quality or not, she is singing her heart out.

  • Yea sorry, I always loved Linda the person but you can really hear how mediocre at best her voice was here. Hey, Paul was in love.

  • Linda wasn't a bad singer.

  • Wonder if there was any monitor on stage - if one cannot hear the instruments very well, it is easy to get off key.

  • Listening to this, I don't know who was a worse singer, Linda or Yoko.

  • lets be honest yoko sings like shit all the time. whatever you think of yoko, linda is a better singer

  • @PPEACEandPILLS i hear ya! just because she was john's girl doesn't mean she had a shred of talent in her bones.... "band killer"

  • @PPEACEandPILLS Yes, Yoko is more akin to caterwauling, screeching, or just plain fingernails vs chalkboard!

  • @PPEACEandPILLS Yoko sings like a terrible grandma. Even on Double Fantasy

  • i buried flanders

  • I thought it was cranberry blunders

  • Man, every time I listen to Paul sing this song I get chills all over my body. I love it!

  • NO hes not

  • i haven't ever heard this version of bluebird o.O

really nice, though the original one is better

  • i loved the start of the song...

  • Strange how good this song is and how after Wings he has never done it in concert since. Hope someday Paul will put this back into his concert set.

  • I was searching for Blackbird from Paul Mcartney and I came across this great song. Very happy I found it!

  • Coming up is great. If you misinterpret bad, it's not McCartney problem.

  • bluebird sining in the death of night, take this broken wings and learn to fly, all your life you were only waiting for this moment to arrise.

  • thats blackbird

  • well, it is

  • Where do you get stories like this? Don't believe everything you read, unless you know Heather personally. Sometimes things don't work out between two people, you have to separate the music from the musician. Musicians are often very odd people on a personal level.

  • He's great. Paul McCartney forever.

  • What 'bout that Marley tune... three little bluebirds, sitting on my doorstep, etc! And just because you don't fancy our music DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO LET US KNOW.

Haaaaa. Although I do admit, the repetetive chorus is annoying if you wake up and listen to it. Weird.

  • And I mean wake up as in physically waking up in the morning and hearing the chorus repeating over and over. It makes me angry, hah.

  • no, because you have a sick need for attention. please, go play somewhere else :)

  • You have some serious issues. Please get help fast!!!

  • why do you even watch the video if you hate him so much you psycho?

  • Of course I´m a bluebird too.

I miss this imaginative stage of Paul

  • Fly away trough the midnight air

As we held across the sea

And at last we will be free

    You're a bluebird

    You're a bluebird

    You're a bluebird

    You're a bluebird

    Yeah Yeah Yeah

    I'm A Bluebird.......

  • Yeah.. this song stays legend for ever... so many meanings in the song so many dreams.. Paul mcartney Living legend ! Everybody keep listing the beatles ;)

  • Bitersweet memories of some of the best times of our lives, baby-boomers.

  • love this song.... !!!

  • I´m a bluebiRd!!!

  • I'm a BlueBird too!!! ;o)

  • Ca peux-tu etre beau assez,,,merci

  • who cares about age? what. you have to be 40 in order to like and listen to paul mccartney? age does not matter.

  • lol I'm 13 and i love this song

  • What does being 13 have anything to do with it ?

  • It shows that music from the 60's and 70's will keep going on, that the Beatles mean something to more than one generation. PS: I'm 15 and I have every album by the beatles :)

  • I have them all (albums) and I am 15 , too...amazing!

  • oh yeah

  • I was 13 in 1973, and lived in Kishinev,Moldova. This is where I heard this song for the first time and still remember it. Thank you for sharing.

  • oo...one of my faves is silly love songs

  • yeh thats a class one too, im a big macca fan i live about 3 mls from his old house in forthlin road, he still does get back to liverpool now and then, he still has family here

  • I know! This generation REALLY NEEDS to bring back good music!!!! NO MORE RAP CRAP!!!

  • Exactly!

  • PLEASE!!!Im fifteen!!!!SAVE MY EARS!!!!

  • Out of his entire output, including Beatles stuff, this is one of his prettiest songs of all!

It's surely lesser known, and much like his "Baby's Request" and "Waterfalls" -- deserving of wider recognition!

  • i still have the vinyl album of wings over america live in very good condition and this is one of my favorite cuts. :) thanks for posting.

  • does anybody know where i can download this song with the intro and everything. limewire dosen't seem to have it.

  • what kind of guitar is Paul using?
