I figured out some major kinks that can fix to upgrade your performance and durablity. #1 !!!!!! (biggggg deal) Steering rack MUST BE ALUMINUM!!! The new steering rack (different from the rc18t) breaks very easily. And when i say easily i mean when bottoming and landing hard before a turn. The aluminum steering rack step up with a metal gear servo is a must.

all this is is a mock up of the mini slash. i'd still go with the slash because of it being waterproof and all. and i have yet to see my friends sc18 exceed 50 mph
first of all its the set up. the slash has a more bash ready system. where the rc18's are mor race competitive. they are brushed stock you would have to upgrade to a brushless and 2 cell and that would put the new 1/16 slash to shame. but of course it personal prefferance
the mini slash's are copetitve too. my friend has a huge track and it literally flies through it. and the cs18 probably could never over pass a slash on speed. plus you still can upgrade the slash to way stronger motor. my friend is in the process of putting a castle creations 16 scale motor in it. blink and you'll miss it

nope you got it the other way around. femember the 18 scale rc cars associated alredy had. traxxas wanted to go small too. associated just downsized the sc8 to 1/10 then to 1/18

BAD stock motor burnt up in 3 runs
GOOD the mamba max pro 6800 kv
BAD servo went out in 7 runs
GOOD metal gear servo
GOOD stock 1100 mah and 1600 mah work very well with the brushless system and are cheap
BAD suspension travel sucks!!!
I'm going to try a few things with the rc18t to see if i can match up what parts are needed for more travel "HIGH CENTER CITY"
