I don't know anything for a fact , but my gut tells me that as close as those guys were, added to the fact that they all said the touring was very very hard on the body - they knew and said that they would only be around for "X" amount of time. I hope Paul is in a better place than he was , but it sucks SO bad that it had to end like it did. Maggot for life.

There may've been an interview where they may've said that, but Joey Jordison was interviewed by an official from the Mayhem Festival 2010... He clearly stated that SlipKnoT has nothing planned but they haven't broken up... :)
