The Kazakhs simply didn't exist in ancient times to dance. But there ARE traditional male dancing in Central Asian culture. Among other kazakh dances for men is a dance called "Sarbazdar" (not particular sure in right spelling, so sorry guys) a particular element of which is to lay on ground and listen to the horses hoofs clatter or to see how strong the earth is trembling. This symbolises chinese or jungars attacking him.
@DiGioDi well, even though there was no nation or ethnicity which was called kazakh in ancient times, all the tribes (or at least almost all) which are in the present kazakh nation have existed from these ancient times... solai~~
It is a kazakh Tranditional dance and it has been preserved and practiced among remote kazakh peoples throught the centuries, no matter what it is still honored among the chinese kazakh people who mainly lived in Altay region.
The name of the Dance is Karajorga which very common during wedding parties
Female dancing is definitely Kazak! And the male dance is called Qara Jorga (check it out in my videos), it is extinct in Kazakstan, but preserved among China's Kazaks.
this is not kazakh dance!!!! first of all our music is not like this!! second our moves are not like this, we dance mostly slowly and don't use shoulders and stuff, this looks like uzbek for me. but definately not KAZAKH ;)))
Don't be sexist! :D What do you mean "not supposed"? They didn't have to save the country 24/7, and the traditional male dance in the video is called Qara Jorgha (Black Stallion), you can check it out in my videos.
@Qazaq men de burun harajorga turaly muldem bilmeitinmin, birak bir kytai kazagy arkyly bildim. mamamnan surasam, olarda da bolatyn dedi (ol kurshumnen, shygys kazakstan), birak aueni de, bii de baskasha bolatyn dedi, hara jorgada shapkylagan siakty bileitin dedi. al mynany buyn bi dep atady))

@DiGioDi I've never heard of Chinese attacking Kazakhs. I think it's more likely Russians who control these area for long time.
