  • Great video

  • why do they need that poxy 66 on it.

  • @vikingsmb Tour was originally intended so the deltic would haul into Fishguard and run around, turns out there was a points failure upon inspection at Fishguard so they ran the Deltic around in Margem Yard and slapped the 66 on the front, to haul into Fishguard then deltic out.

  • @KBRAILVIDEOS Really good quality! What's the format and video file extension?

  • @johnr625 Thanks. Format is just "hd 720" output on iMovie (using hd 1080p hardware), but the file extension is '.mov' I don't have any software capable of doing 1080p. Hope this helps.

  • wait wait is that bally moss???

  • Whoever designed for Napier must've been on some good sh1t, because they came up with some truely bizarre engine designs.

  • I love the sound of Napier in the morning !!

  • How is the engine started? I certainly don't hear poketa poketa poketa

  • This is a good video... a lot of content summarized rather well. Thanks for posting, looking forward to watching your future videos. There is a lot of average stuff out there on YouTube, but I think this is great material. How long have you been creating videos? I just started and am trying to pick up ideas from other users with content rich channels (like yours). Any tips?

  • yesssss!!!!!! sing my lovely girl sing!!!! nothing beats the sound of those twin napiers !!!! god i wish i could go back in time !!!!!1 :-))

  • Absolutely love that ultra-low-frequency throbbing sound that the Deltics make. Nothing else sounds even remotely similar; if only there were xars which sounded this good!

  • This thing sounds like a beast!

  • wow!!! a great diesel is music to my ears:-)

  • Tis music to the ears lovely film thanks

  • its funny how it doesnt fit in the platform! :') its half over the level crossing! :L

  • Captures the whoosh of start up and the ensuing resonance very well!

  • It's loud and clear without any sparkling sounds, it's got to be one of the best deltic start up sound on youtube.

  • @Wongie2009 Thanks. I was using an external directional mic pointing into the sky to dampen the sound, I knew it would be loud :)

  • @nxec43 Thanks :)

  • These engines seem to start up so quickly compared to class 37's & the like which seem to take an eternity to start. Even though the engines would have still been warm they still start much faster when cold than others.

  • wasn't expecting to se ann EE tractor( lorry) unit hehe)

  • @burghill1979 haha. Included that footage to give the viewer a sense of feeling on how the environment was with the station being inside a port. Cheers

  • wasn't expecting to se ann EE tractor unit hehe
