@princess7strawberry The president doesn't fully endorse same-sex couples rights to marry? How is it not his fault?? It's his choice to endorse full equality, but he chooses not to and play politics with peoples lives
@PolytheisticDeities Well, take a look at everything he has to do. We're faced with a lot of crises before he was even elected into office. We were dug into a hole (which was 8 years or so in the making), and he's trying to get us out of there, which will take more than his 4 years in office. And a lot of it is not solely his decision; there are so many other people working in the system to be taken into consideration. Would your view still be the same if, say, Bush was still in office?
@princess7strawberry It takes a lot of effort to say he supports something? Please, that's pathetic. All he has to do is say "I've evolved, I support full marriage equality for ALL Americans" Is he seriously to busy to even say that? Other people? What the hell are you talking about - please explain this.. Bush was a conservative Repubican. It's unrealistic to compare my expectations of Bush to that of a supposedly "progressive Democrat" like Obama.
Honestly, when I messaged you, I wasn't picking a fight. I was truly curious what you had to say. There's no need to be snippy with me. When I mean "other people", think about everything that goes through the system in order for something to happen. The president has a lot of power, but not full. Otherwise, the US wouldn't be a democracy. "It's unrealistic to compare [...] Bush to [...] Obama" - exactly my point. Instead of "waiting for the world to change", do something about it.
@princess7strawberry You think I don't realize how our government and politics work? Of course there is more to it than just his support but him endorsing FULL equality for ALL Americans is a big step. Obviously he has a lot of persuasion power maybe he should use some of it instead of being a pushover like he is on almost everything. And snippy? Please, when your rights are being voted and debated on please come back and tell me your not a BIT angry.
@PolytheisticDeities I voted "no" on Prop 8, and we still lost. I don't feel proud at all about California in that respect. So, here I am back to tell you that yes, I AM a bit angry. But instead of arguing against some random person in the virtual world, stop saying that /I'm/ the one who is pathetic and channel your energy where it needs to be.
looks just like his uncle

And if he were alive today, Mr. President, he still wouldn't be "American" enough for you to believe he deserves the right to marry who he loves.

@PolytheisticDeities How is this the president's fault?

@princess7strawberry Those statements weren't aimed toward you, sorry if you misconstrued. They were aimed at Obama.
