  • do all spinets have this guitar sound?

  • 0:01 hehe why dont you cut away that pfffrt?

  • Really cool, the piece sounds baroque at first, but then you realize it isn't. Seems to have a big sound for a spinet!

  • top notch technique and jazzy Charlie Haden

  • que pôrra de musica é essa ??

  • @cody1800212 at a Store for Instruments a few Villages from my home. I've heard, if you are careful and see the Piece first, you even might find some good Pieces on ebay.

  • HA ha, funny, I have exactly the Same Spinett!

  • hermoso...............

    good

    : D

  • Cool!

  • I like the strumming. Something I'd probably have done in a performance.

  • WOW, I own exactly the same instrument! ^^

  • You should play clavichord with such a good 'biting' touch as yours. These instruments have virtually NO dynamic range--this is why people find it it sounds electric (it's not that the sound is bad but it is of very equal velocity capacity). Clavichord will give you the perfect dynamic range

  • This guy is amazing. I've never seen anything like it. Wow.

  • have enjoyed listening to your electric stuff & was surprised to find this.

  • Haha, cool! It's an Spinett Grand.

  • Is this electric?

  • -.-

  • Hahaha. Wow, you're right, it does sound like an electric guitar. That's a pretty awesome realization.

  • Very cool, I adore that spinet, what a lovely sound

  • Very interesting idea and realization.

Fascinating colour of sound. More than an experiment. Your taste is assured, bravo!

  • Wow. A Wittmayer spinet.

  • Hmm, some of it does sound remarkably like an electric guitar in miniature.

But! No matter what style you pursue, you shouldn't hit the keys!

  • Why shouldn't you hit the keys?

  • Due to thunking and because it is not necessary.

  • dreadful sound.

  • Jammin, I like it.

  • That spinet is too small to have a stop. Hell, I've seen decent sized harpsichords that are still too small to have stops. The Flemish or French double manuals are the only models worthy of stops.

  • Why in the world would the size have anything to do with it? Buff stops aren't unknown on period (18th century) spinets (though this one mutes the tone more than I care for personally)

  • It does have a stop, an 8' stop

  • My harpsichord teacher could kill you! :-)

    But i LOVED IT,

    very very good music, congratulations.

    Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina,

    and a happy 2008!

    Nati.

  • My bad. I know more now then I did when I left that comment. I've done my research now on eighteenth century clavichords, harpsichords, forte-pianos and chamber organs.

  • A lute stop on a spinet?
