Best way to count cards in BlackJack (Hi-lo)

Not a well ordered presentation. You need a through understanding of basic strategy before learning to count and it isn't here. Frankly it sounds like this guy maybe read one book and didn't understand it.

Not a very accurate system if it counts 2s the same as 5s or 6s, but OK for beginners. Don't bet the house on it though.

Take a bankroll of $3000 and try your luck at the quarter double deck table using Hi LO system. You will win if the cards are playble that day and most days. BUt there will be a day just around the corner that will deplete your bankroll. It's called negative variance. Every card counter has fallen prey to the nasty devil. It does not matter if your at true count +5. The dealer wins over and over. If you can wait til next month with another $3,000 bankoll and do it again.

THe best way to count cards is to count how many times you will lose at counting cards over the long haul. The casino will shoot holes in any system your little mind can come up with.

You were a little misleading. Counting cards is not cheating at all, its just using simple math to increase your odds. And its not illegal either. The casino can throw you out, and you can be blacklisted, but you cannot and will not be arrested for it. Its not illegal.

I have a question tho. If you start at the table that is already started, how do you start counting then? You just bet low untill you figure out what the count is and then start betting high?

@tshirttime84 you start counting your first hand., so if you are at the table but you dont have a hand you dont begin to count until your first hand. Betting is complicated. at first you wont be allowed to look at cards so bet low, then when cards are looked at, count your cards and all thevisible ones if its above +1 or 2 then bet bigger . but remeber you have to have a get a bigger hand value than anyone else. Playing well is half of betting. hope that helped

@VitoStudiosXD The casino can put you on their blacklist. Meaning that you are not allowed to play blackjack or poker or whatever game you were caught in at that casino. They might not do anything. You never know for sure. I accidentaly deleted your other comment sorry the answer to that is that the casino cannot beat you up. Plus I think it was the players in the round that beat him up, not the casino.
