  • dnt care what any1 says great album

  • i got this from ebay was alot of money it's very rare i love cut up and dull man and not forgettin time turns around

  • Ode to Anna and Weekday sound pretty sweet, maybe ya'll should listen a bit closer-obviously most of the first half of the record are pretty dreadful sounding.

By the way she did back up vocals on Robert Plant's third record, "Shaken n Stirred" in 1985

She sounds great on that record, which I used to love-it's actually pretty great in spots

  • I really like this album and am a pretty big fan of Curve (well, the earlier era up to Doppelganger). I think people should just take this album for what it is (and besides the fact)... if you notice her vocals are really LOVELY in this album and still a very distinct 'Toni Halliday'. Maybe she didn't have that much input or direction as she's had in Curve or other projects but as a cheesy late 80s pop record I think it's good!

  • Sounds like Transvision Vamp and that's not a good thing

  • is this a Curve release? Can't be. This sucks. Totally edgeless crap, lacking melody and imagination. She took a bad detour here. Lots of geniuses do.

  • You should read the Info, Bonzo

this was Toni's first foray into the pop world,in the late 8T's.

    Agreed....it's weak material.

it has it's charm though, as a typical

80's pop sound, and has curiosa value

    because of Toni Halliday.

  • Toni has a beautiful voice but Dean was the true credit to their sound. Those two belong together like peanut butter and chocolate (mmmmmmm Reese's)

  • Peanut butter and honey, and wholemeal bread (trust me).

  • Don't forget that Dean Garcia was also an integral part of Curve. I think this album was let down by a serious dropoff in production/collaboration talent.

  • I'd kind of agree with the previous comments. I think part of it is that it's a bit of a shock after hearing the stuff we've become used to (Curve, etc). Maybe the song ideas aren't completely bad, but the production values are really dated. It definitely sounds like someone else's vision of what Toni should sound like in 1989, & of course that means capturing the pop sound of the day that was successful. Don't have the album, but a few of the "non-single" melodies offered here are promising.

  • I am also a huge curve fan and think this album is just horrible, horrible

  • Let me point out, I am a huge CURVE fan, and I paid a hefty penny for this album, but other than the first sing, this album is HORRIBLE! It's a good thing it didn't do well, or we'd have never gotten the great music we have had since.
