  • Excellent blues my friend!!!

  • sounds great! would one of these sound good in the bridge position? mine right now is waaaaaaaaayyy too hot. i want some subtle clean tones with a little pop like this ones got...

  • @metzepp I have a emerald/purple dually in the bridge position on my guitar. And it sounds amazing. It is great for clean tones and finger picking, but when it comes time to rock out it does its job perfectly. very nice response to changes in styling. I would put this up against just about any single coil out there just based on its clearness and versatility

  • i really need some help. i cannot decide between the emerald or gold laces for my strat. i have a Hot Rail in the bridge and would like laces to be in the middle and neck positions. there just isn't enough info about the emeralds for me to make a choice. if anyone has some input that would be great. thanks

  • very inspiring playing dude. cool picking technique.

not to mention those lace sensors are awesome.

  • Thanks for your reply! I'm thinking about replacing two Gold with one Emerald (neck) and one Silver (middle). I have a standard Red in the bridge. Thanks for the video and the message.

  • what are the songs you play in this ?

  • @drift221

Just my own stuff and some improvisations on top :)

  • how would the lace sensor emerald sound as a bridge pickup? im thing of putting all emeralds in a strat

  • @TheRealErob

Never tried it in the bridge position.

Let me know how it worked out :)

I would put something just a bit hotter in the bridge, but you never know...

  • @Andrukhen aww oh i thought I could find from 1:00 and learn it because all the riffs from there are awesome.

  • @drift221

that's very nice of you to say man! you know what, i never tried writing tabs, but i'll experiment with that when i have the time. if it works out fine, i'll upload the tabs for you.

  • @Andrukhen one more thing how do these handle Hendrix riffs

  • @drift221

If you ask me, the neck position Emerald is the best p/up for that kind of tone there is. Put it in a nice Strat, add some medium overdrive and here you go.

  • @Andrukhen Nice playing and nice sound! Do you know how the emerald compares to a gold Lace?

    Thanks!

  • @whiskeyworkin

    Thank you!

Well, if you assume that the Gold Lace is a hum-free version of a standard Strat pickup, then the Emerald would be something like the Texas Special... I would say it has a bit more high end and gets compressed a bit less. It's kind of a bit more responsive than the standard Gold. I would also add that the Emerald is a bit more versatile - you can go from sounding "like the Gold Lace" to something else with your pick attack. It's kind of the Gold PLUS :)
