Okay, a question. I'm not a Mac OR a PC fanboy, but why is everyone always saying that Mac's bad? I got a friend and he always says this: "Well, uh, it's better, that's true. But... I hate Apple, and that's it." A bit silly, isn't it? I got a PC, not so old, and I often have to use Office programs. I'm absolutely not a gamer or a "much downloader" & still my PC can't handle it and crashes. Very funny. Thanks Windows

Everybody says Macs are bad because for the money you pay for one, you could build a system that has about 3-4X the capabilities hardware AND software wise. I spent about 1 grand on my Linux desktop, however a Mac equivalent would cost about 3 grand.

ok first of all, the computers dont control the government, they run it. our former president George W. Bush is what fucked up our government, not the computers. and besides, if they tried to run the government on macs, they would be hopeless. make more sense now?

n my point on the mac vs pc's is: macs can run alot of programs windows has, can even run windows on bootcamp. so y not have a mac (to put it shortly) if i had to point out all the reasons y macs r better id b writing an essay

well, obviously youve nev er run windows on a pc, because pcs are cheaper and have much more power than macs. im pretty sure pcs are much better and if you would like to write that essay, send it to me personally and i will maybe skim over it a bit.

yeah they cheaper cuz u get what u pay for. i do graphic design anyways so i need to run the adobe shop so thats my 1 of my personal reasons. i have office suit though on my mac if i wana do windowy type stuff. have u eva used a mac for a long period of time? if so then ur fine 2 argue but if not then ur view isnt as fair as mine as ive used both alot but once i went mac i could neva go back

thats an excellent point. with PC you do get what you pay for. with mac, everything is overpriced, especially since they make their own hardware AND software, meaning they have less budget. i used mac exclusively for the last 15 years, and i was really addicted once OSX came out. after buying a PC though, i realized that for a lot less i was getting more speed and power, plus more software. i now use both, and i use adobe CS4 on both, and all the CS4 programs are faster on PC, without upgrades.

i guess id be bothered if i had to pay for my mac n not get it free from the government. i think the money is the main issue people raise the other things people write in favour of pc's are minute in comparison to the reasons in favour to have a mac, in my opinion, i just like the usage over pc, nice try but you'll never convince me. im mac till i die! lol

Youtube arguments, gotta love em. Best part is when they people start writing personal things that are just not true. For example that 15 years using a mac is bullshit, you probably never owned a mac in your life. I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch and it runs a lot faster than my HP with bigger specs, I think this has a lot to do with the fact that Mac OS X consumes almost no resources while Windows uses about half its resources simply starting up. Unlike yours, my argument is not made up.

ok first of all, you dont know jack shit about my life so dont come on here and tell me i "made up" what happened the first 15 years of my life. i was in schools that used all macs and my family had macs. i loved em. then i got my first computer. little $300 HP desktop. Blew my freakin mind how much better it was. faster and easier. plus the resource thing is only a problem on lower level versions of vista. vista pro boots faster than any mac i ever used, and 7 is even faster.

Only by turning on windows ultimate you already loose a HUGE percentage of your ram. I have no idea what timer you were using to count boot up times or what computers, but Mac OS X boots up way faster than vista, even windows 7. My mac turns on in about 34 seconds and is usable right away, and HP with windows 7 turns on in about 47 seconds (on good days) and is usable about 10 seconds after that, has in you click a button and something actually happens.

i call Business pro because its shorter, and my vista business boots in 26-27 seconds (which inclused the login) and is usable instantly. and im not making up stories, and your "faces" are bullshit. and i dont give a flying fuck what some retarded application says, my pc runs a hell of a lot faster than any mac ive ever used, so that app must be pretty stupid. you should write a book about how to be a retarded douchebag. and i never said alienware was cheap, i said my comp was cheap, idiot

Oh yes we should all disregard an official standard for testing computer speeds and just take "your word" for it... I understand you said your HP computer was cheap, but you also said that I couldn't compare my mac to an HP, you said I should compare it to an alienware. If you say that you are saying that mac is better than your cheap HP, please be coherent. I think you dont know what a Macbook Pro is, its not a $2000 computer like it was before, its a $1000 comp. PCs do not recover the ram it uses to boot because that ram is not used to boot, its used to run the OS, as long as the OS is on its going to be used. While I do acknowledge that on a mac you will have to turn off the computer after a few days to reset the ram cache, this is NOTHING compared to disk defragmentation on windows, and you should turn off your comp use to save on electric bill

i built my pc for $300 so its actually a lot better than a normal $300 machine, and yes it does boot in 26 seconds (or less). your little application hasnt been used on MY computer. my HP costed 300 and out of the box with no mods it was faster than most macs. and honestly, i can wait a few seconds more boot time for a better OS.

I don't buy that either. If you can get all the components for $300, I applaud you. If you say that it runs fast, I will laugh at your face. Look at custom pc boot times around youtube. The fasted I found was a 32 second boot time with components that cost about $800 total. Its funny how my HP cost much more than $300 and doesn't run faster than my mac, which is the second most cheapest. Also, If you could post the components of your "custom pc" I will love to see it.

and i guess in your perfect little apple universe where all the computers are the same, you must not be too used to the fact that not all pcs are the same, and some have plenty more speed and performance than macs, especially if you build it from scratch. then its cheaper as well.

I know there are faster PCs than macs, but most of them cost a lot more than macs (alienware for example). Sure, you could build a PC from scratch, but the majority of the population doesn't know and doesn't want to know how to do that. So thats not an option for about 99% of people. And you can't build a good PC for $300 dollars, I'm still waiting for the component list.

ok since im sick of being in a argument that goes nowhere, ill end it. i only spent $300 on my comp. i used parts i already had for the base and just tacked on $300 of stuff. its much faster than any mac. windows has always been better than mac, and windows 7 is better than all other versions of windows, so it automatically is better than mac. i guess we can just agree to disagree since that seems to be the only way to make you shut up. im not going to recant just because you think ur an expert.

Aw, I really wanted that component list! But I can see you made a pretty little excuse (that's bull crap). Windows 7 may be better than Vista, but its not better than XP, the fastest version of windows. And nothing is better than Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Even if you did recycle parts to make your comp, you must have bought the parts at some point, so you need to add that to the cost. From my understanding windows 7 pro costs $299, so just the OS would cost you $300 bucks, on top of the hardware.

and something else about PC is that all the ram it uses on boot, it recovers. mac just builds up temporary crap and never dumps it until shutdown, so (i know this from experience) after a long time being on, a mac will be so slow that its useless, while a PC has no problem being left on for...well forever. and once again, youre comparing an HP to a macbook pro.

The fact that you want me to compare an alienware to a mac completely contradicts your argument relating to the price. You will not find a cheaper alienware than a mac. I must agree with you, alienware computers are fast, but they extremely expensive compared to macs. You cannot have it both ways, you can't use the "its cheaper defense" and then use a crazy expensive computer for the comparison...

I see you elaborated more on the bull crap, you should write a book! FIrst of all, there is no such thing as vista pro, I think you are reffering to vista ultimate. Instead of making up stories, lets use facts. Geekbench (a speed testing application) gave the $1099 macbook pro 13 inch 4100 points, $800 PCs merely scratched 2300 points. The resource thing is not only a problem on lower versions of vista. Quite the opposite, the heavier the OS, the more resources it will consume on start up....
