I wish you could buy a decent NON-portable flac player, like a CD player but with a USB port that can play flac files off a flash stick. I know you can get REALLY expensive ones, but there's nothing affordable on the market yet. For now I'm stuck with my little Sansa Fuze! But it's hardly 'audiophile'.
@dotchoo: What's with the word "Umm"? I already have a PC with an excellent soundcard (Delta66) connected to a very good stereo system. That's how I listen to most of my music. However, I like to listen to music quietly late at night, and the PC fan is annoying (it's not loud - but I want silence!). I hate having to burn music to CD - it's a hassle and seems outdated and outmoded. I do have a DVDA player, so at least I can burn several albums to 1 DVD. Still not ideal though.
Problem with mine is that I can't get my PC USB to connect to it. How much power does this thing try to take from the USB port. I don't know how to allocate more power to my ports.
can somebody please tell me how low the EQ can go? can you set the lowest band to 50Hz? I have iAudio 5, with the EQ, BBE, Mach3Bass etc. but it never sounded as deep and powerfull as my old iRiver player. So I need to make sure i will have control over bass if i buy this?
yes i know, i already bought it:( and i'm dissapointed with the shalow bass regardless of how powerfull or should i say noisy it is... it's nothing like my old iRiver:(
the new S9 can. I'm looking for the same feature. Plus I really need an actual play/pause button to easily and quickly press in my pocket. That really limits my options.
I have an iAudio 7 (8gb) and I love it so much that Im looking forward in buying a 16gb. This player has the best sound quality and bass than any other mp3 player ive ever owned. Thanks Cowon!
Gonna buy it today, thanks. But what's up with the guy's thumb in the upper-left corner toward the end of the video. Dude, don't bite your thumbs so much.
Can't talk for the Zune, but it sure beats an iPod. I heard my bro's iPod Touch and was very dissapointed, so played around with it's EQ settings... But it still sounded so lifeless/dull!
I'm not considering a switch from my Cowon iAudio u2 (verrry old, but sounds so much better! -also a CNet editor's choice (2003??) and i'm poor can someone donate? :D ). Cowons really do produce the best sounds.
@ozaki1 if you don't use full sized headphones you can try the iaudio E2, it's really good with earbuds. i just bought it and i used to have an iaudio 7 -i dropped it and now it's dead- and the E2 sounds about as good with small headphones. not with big ones though. it's also cheaper than the i7.
definitely, as that was how it was on their U3. If they did that the UI would be much more straightforward and easier to use. Oh well, I got a D2. No ogg/vorbis bug with bass tones, and has much more capabilities for the price. Easier to use. But larger.
I have one as well but I have one problem I don't know what kind of movies work on the iaudio7 I tried much so know I hope that someone can help me I really need to know because know I tried much like wma avi mp4 and so one.
I'd like to second the question of price and color of the 16 gig version. When it comes out, I'm going to buy it! Just need to know how much scratch to save up.
Right now, Amazon has the 16 gb version for $299.99. This seems relatively expensive until you realize the iA7 has a mic., line-in, fm, fm recorder, BBE sound maximization, timed listening and drag-and-drop/IDE functionality. In my opinion, this is a far superior player to an iPod Nano (and I've owned that player).
PLEASE PLEASE show me the tempo speed control how it sounds!! iwant to know how it sounds when you slow the music down its so important thank you!

it is not possible to set the loweste band at 50 Hz. 80Hz is the lowest frequency possible.
but with Mach3Bass set to 10 my ears are blasted;)

Nice player, but its terribly chunky. :/

Its thickness impose that you buy the 16 gigs model. On the 8 gigs the iriver players (lplayer and clix2) seems better than this.

Wouldnt it be better if they switched the MENU button with the RECORD button? its easyer navigating i think.. i might buy this mp3
Mellowcakeske 3 years ago
I agree, I think the record button would be better on top with menu on the front.
I was just about to buy an iRiver E100 until I saw this player, about to order one now I think.
