There is something wrong with these men laughing; and the way they are discussing preparation is disturbing....they seem to lack empathy for fellow Americans who may not be as fortunate as themelves....they seem to lack community-minded spirit...you won't need guns if you are community-minded and help each other as neighbours. That's what I believe.
@FLYonTheWALL420 I am scared to hell I don't know how to survive this crazy depression please give me a list of things to do. Will this spread to UK and if it does jeeze rioting will happen crazy possibly UK could become Afghanistan.
Cards are stacked. Those in a position to follow their advice today, may not be tomorrow. The assets one has today are getting whittled away as inflation grows. The value of assets in one's 'portfolio' today is diminishing daily. Indeed, most don't have 'portfolio's' anymore.
What.. Ron Paul has been predicting a bad economy for 4o years, and you think that he's accurate. How many business cycles have we had during that 40 years. No, to be accurate you need more precise and timely predictions. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
In 1985 I read my first book on the crash that was coming I was 27 yrs old & I believed it was coming.
Thought it was going to happen sooner rather than later, but I never would of thought or did the authors of the books I read that the Government would borrow 25 years worth of money to try and prevent it from happening.
Well now it's later rather than sooner and it's going to happen this time, the next couple of years are going to be real rough for so many people who aren't prepared.
We are clearly heading for a Deflationary Depression. Cash is King in a Deflation. The amount of wealth and money destruction is out of control. M3 is contracting so fast it looks like an Olympic ski slope. Now with Cities filing for bankruptcy, money contraction will speed up. Real Estate and commodity prices will continue to deleverage over the next few years as deflation continues to destroy wealth and contract credit and the money supply. Hyper-inflation is impossible!
Fools never prepare for anything. Sounds bad but it's true. I predicted this housing disaster in 2003. I'm just a regular person, no Harvard degree, just common sense. People acted like nuts buying homes that were way overpriced a as if there were a short supply. They also bought way beyond their actual affordability. I had people tell me, including a couple Real Estate agents that I was crazy to think the housing market was going to bust. I follow my gut and my good ole common sense, they've s

Smart thing...plan for the worst hope for the best. I know for myself acquiring long term food storage is top on my list. Unfortunately most food storage company's are so expensive with minimum orders that are only affordable to those in a higher tax bracket. What about those who are truly struggling in this economy ? The answer is on my channel...you can even get free long term storable food & preparedness items that truly just about anyone can afford. God Bless
These gentlemen aren't the only successful ones informing people worldwide. They make sense when you look at the facts historically and prepare if the likelihood is possible. There are people who get clobbered by natural disasters that get taken by surprise, so a financial collapse is a potential particularly because of HERD, emotional, reactive human tendencies to rush toward security during times of fear. How would you tackle this problem? Attack, flee, neglect, avoid or succumb?
LOL, at 1:15 asked, when crowds come rushing in to buy gold and silver will you be happy or sad. He says I will be very happy. So, what are these crowds "buy" your gold with? fiat money? LOL. I hope you can eat that gold and silver or make bullets out of it cause when I sell alcohol, bullets and food I wont be taking gold or silver for it.
@Xazoola The time to buy Gold & Silver is gone. People should have done all their buying when Gold was cheap and Silver was even cheaper. Its way too late now
@pistolpete1911a1 When the dollar is worthless you'll wish you were willing to pay $2500 for an oz. of gold. Your fiat, paper money is worthless. Has been for 40 years.
@Cathyvalaz NOPE, never happen. But hey if you wanna go spend all your money , go ahead. I grew up a prepper, living on a farm. Ill be fine and wont notice much of a difference. Lets see what happens when gold plummets and people are stuck with all that high priced metal , that they cant get rid of.You folks are getting sucked in AGAIN!
@MerulaMondlicht It's not just "rich" people. The LDS church, to which I belong, has been counseling members to store food for just this kind of scenario for over 70 years. I'd say "smart" people, "prudent" people, but not only rich people are saving for a very rainy day on the horizon.
I believe the point is..be prepared for the worst and hope for the best. You can choose to be prepared and have no regrets regardless of how it turns out.. Or choose to Not to be prepared and u have a 50% chance of having serious regrets. It's your call..
Why are they laughing? Why do I not see Ron Paul 2012 a thousand times on these comments? I want a public endorsement of Ron Paul by these guys or I will know they don't mean a damn word they are saying.
And also, Ron Paul has been predicting and warning about this economic situation since the 1970's. Look at RP's portfolio...easily available...speaks for itself.
Kiyosaki is a fan of Ron Paul. I'd post a link, but Youtube won't let me. You can see for yourself on his website, just check his most recent blog update. he says, "In fact, the only candidate that does speak plainly, with common sense, and with truthfulness is Ron Paul. And he is routinely ignored, as evidenced by this hilarious, and sad, clip by Jon Stewart of the Daily Show."
@Cathyvalaz I am asking also, "Why are these people laughing?" Rich Dad said he would be not be sad if everything collapsed. What kind of human being is that?
Sure, be happy you are prepared, but, not to have empathy for a suffering world in deep recession or depression? Well, that is just sociopathic.
Nero laughed while Rome Burned..and Nero was a nasty sociopath..to say the least.
@ShoppingIdiot No kidding. How do they expect the general public to become properly informed? I woke up in 2007 and began a comprehensive reading program of Am. History, economics, monetary policy... These generalman are self serving. I just want to help save this country from complete demise. Ck out SGTbull07
@ShoppingIdiot I must agree with you, Why are these people laughing? There is nothing funny about any of it. Do they not realize how serious this is going to be? Yes, I do think it is coming.
The advice is sound...stockpile food. Canned vegetables, meats, soups, stews, rice, beans, chili, pasta, peanut butter, sugar...whatever it is you like to eat, make sure you've got a good supply put back, and then double it. And store drinking water. But the best advice I heard on this video was them urging you to BUY A GUN! Learn how to use it. Get some training, and then carry it. Put away a good supply of ammo. 250 rds per shotgun, 500 rds per handgun, 1000 rds per rifle. That's a good start.
Sorry guys, but depression and hyper-inflation are not synonymous. Now, the two may occur around same time simply because a government may choose to debase their currency in an attempt to reverse deflationary pressure caused by a collapse in an economic structure, which of course is the reason why you have distortions in supply of various items and excess funds bidding up speculative assets. Just another slick pitch -ignore these clowns.
wouldn't suprise me in the least if fools like this are targeted first in a collapse scenario. Hell its common sense. You dont waste your time fighting other poor people in a collapse, you go right after the ones you know are stockpiling.
these smug bastards think they're hot shit. All the preparation in the world wont save them from the desperate hordes of humanity. At the end of the day, if enough people want you dead, and they have nothing else to lose, your ass is DEAD!
The problem with food storage is that if you have to bug out, it is difficult to transport. You need to have your food cached in remote areas... also, if you are going to learn about weapons, you might want to learn about reloading your amo (not putting bullets in your gun, but equipment to make your bullets).
@SharronLiberty That may be true, but its Ron Paul so no one was paying attention. Truthfully though anyone that has been paying the slightest amount of attention to the financial instability of the world should recognize what is going on in the world. I can't wait until China's bubble, that will ripple around the world, it should be enough to tip the US into a true depression. The riots in Greece will look like a kiddie party compared to China's revolt when the yuan fails.
@MerulaMondlicht: If the gov't starts seizing food and personal property that is when you tap into the ammo supply. We should all be insecure right now. Our government is acting outside the best interests of the citizens and the constitution. They are leading us into ruin. Your confidence needs to be checked..."all is well"...
Robert, You are attracting violent kooks with such cavalier statements as, "Get a gun." Get one but don't share your warped sense of preparation with the drooling groupies following you. That is evil and will magnify the crime problem.
Kiyosaki is a charlatan. Please go out of your way to buy someone elses' end of the world book. This guy led people off a cliff in 2008 recommending to overleverage everyones' credit and buy more houses. This person is evil and only interested in his bottom line...Not yours!
@gatersaw Yes, I'd agree with your assessment, which is why I posted my first comment here.
I think that Kiyosaki and crew are less interested in our welfare, and more interested in their own. They may be set for whatever happens, but in the meantime, they'll try to make ever more money with books, trades, board games, and the like. This is what you see here.
Want some real warnings? Look around. Read alternate news sources. Think. But, to profit while others suffer is reprehensible... **IMO**
@RobHansonPhotography Watch videos from Peter Schiff, Marc Faber, Mark Rogers...then watch them again! Haha. This is what i've done. I rarely meet a finance major or professional that understands what is going on right now. A free education from Schiff, Faber, Rogers is invaluable. I subscribe to Gloom Boom and Doom by Faber for $200/year.
The guy made a good point about tax brackets in a hyperinflationary scenario. The people who make $20,000 a year aren't paying a federal income tax now. It's true that wage prices and other prices go up in an inflationary environment, but in purchasing power terms wages never keep up. So, a lot of people are going to be making nominally more money and paying much higher rates of taxation. If future $40,000 is equivalent to $20,000 current dollars in real terms, all those people are screwed.
We should all be prepared. I'm reminded of how the incompetent Obama wasted One Trillion dollars on "shovel-ready projects" (aka: Democrats shovelling taxpayer money into their pockets) and then openly laughed “shovel-ready was not as shovel-ready as we expected”
This is what "redistribution of wealth" looks like.
buy guns ammo food and vote democrat communists OUT starting with the fraud in chief hussein obama if he isn't legally removed before the '12 election.
@amcent2 The R's are hardly better. Who, outsid of Ron Paul, advocates going back to a hard money and ending the Federal Reserve system. Who wants to drastically reduce spending now outside of Ron Paul, Mike Lee, Jim Demint, and Rand Paul? Even Paul Ryan's plan is too little and way too late. GWB expanded the size of govt. faster than any president since LBJ. Most of the R's went right along with it. The establishments of both parties are nearly identical.
@joepeeler34 I agree wholeheartedly, but would add that the tea party freshmen in the house have put a check on the establishment Republicans. The midterm elections were a good start, but 2012 is gonna be the big one. I expect major voter fraud from the left, and possibly a civil war if leftists and their pet minorities don't get their way. It may actually happen before that.
@joepeeler34 True! The two parties are nearly identical, but with opposing ideologies. Therein lies the problem. You can't fit a crowbar between the two.
Until we can develop an integral politic -- where it is understood that no one is 100% right, nor 100% wrong -- and find a way to integrate the differing viewpoints, will the world be a better place.
Yah... good luck with that. It'll take a breaking of the system to understand how to build a new system that will suit multiple perspectives.
This has to be one of the sickest and most disgusting displays of depravity, greed, arrogance and ignorance that I have ever witnessed. They're going to need more than a pistol and a ham sandwich to deal with the coming upheaval. These people are more concerned with keeping their ill-gotten gains than they are with Humanity. They assume that everyone is as selfish as they are.
@twin... Glad you're laughing. (Not really.) Your lack of any compassion is equaled only by your naive assumption that you can go it alone were the worst to happen. "Survival of the Fittest" will have no meaning when you need to rely on your neighbors/friends for that which you cannot provide for yourself.
Sheeple? S-of-t-Fittest is the same zero-sum game that got us here: Others must lose so that I may win.
Instead of acting so fucking superior, teach others what you know. Then you got game.
Whether for house or 'cash flow', if Average Joe had followed RK's advice and gone deeply into debt, they're likely ruined today. Nice board game, using real people as pieces. (He had a 'Cashflow' board game.)
While advice here is possibly sound for today (gold, guns, groceries), we ALL face potential dire circumstances, and should take it seriously. This crew is out of touch, and will likely be the first to be eaten.
@MerulaMondlicht You are forgetting something. Times have changed and men like these are much wealthier than the kings of old days. These guys have private jets and can flee instantly. Some have own private bunkers and can technically stay underground for a year or more if need be. They got connections and can hire a mercenary army to protect them with much more sophisticated weaponry. Rich friends make agreements with other rich friends. I bet robert can shit a million dollars easy.
Crazy isn't it? Just step back from the details for a moment, and consider this: if anyone had even SUGGESTED just a couple of years ago, that there would be mention of videos like this, let alone their being made, they'd have been called a lunatic. Now, enormous numbers of people are virtually EXPECTING the shit to happen.
THAT'S the measure of how quickly the world has been deliberately screwed up. From "Unthinkable" to "Unavoidable" in no time flat.
Well, I'm one of those who've read Kiyosaki's books, but I stayed away from real estate (I don't trust it). Kiyosaki and his laughing sycophants seem to miss the point, that you should have an ALTERNATIVE way of making a living, one that will help your family survive and rebuild society. You should also have more productive hobbies, such as gardening, canning, gunsmithing, and others.
Many unexpectedly lost their jobs and with hundreds (sometimes over a thousand) applying for each single job, the older workers don't have any chance of being hired. Result, you loose everything you worked for your entire life and begin struggling day by day, hour by hour. Then seeing the deteriorating economy it puts you in even deeper stress...because it's getting harder for the ones that have already been wiped out with each passing day. Only those that are set financially can prepare.
I wish the (sista) black woman spoke...i would have loved to hear what she would have to say about all this. I want to hear the black point of view. She might have just been an actress. This guys are smart...all around smart...playing the game at every angle...
It is the end of the Industrial Revolution and we're at peak everything or near peak everything. Theres only one way things can go when they're on an exponential upward curve and thats an exponentional crash
@e7p037a That's like saying oxygen is worthless when you are swimming and go under water. Sure, you can't use oxygen underwater -- but you sure hope there's still oxygen left when you come up for air.
When the economy collapses, gold will not have a uniform value across the globe and you may indeed find people who refuse to barter with it, but when the economy does rebuild, you'll be glad you held onto it. And a small gold coin could save your life via barter for safe passage one day.
@MerulaMondlicht watch "Inside Job" in 8 parts on Youtube. It is sickening. The financial collapse was all orchestrated from the top. I have no idea what their long term plan is.
@MerulaMondlicht Rich people are insecure, because they know how governments work.....they know very well govts can take their assets. An asset can turn into a liability with a simple change in the law (ie immenent domain). I've got a video somewhere from an elderly Austrian woman who explained what the Communists did. She described them as termites.....they eat slowly at your home slowly without you knowing, then all the sudden your house falls down. Gone.
Proceed with caution. This video is disturbing on many levels.
I can't believe these schmucks are laughing while discussing the greatest problems we face. Yeah... funny stuff. . I couldn't help but notice how nicely they all dressed.
The king in the center is the same one who wrote a series of books that ENCOURAGED people to go deeply in debt for real estate. He advocated "a million dollars" in debt. How'd that work out?
@RobHansonPhotography Yes there are a lot of problems, and I too feel they are grave. But this man never said borrow money and buy real estate...He says "your house is a liability, not an asset". Very true. Instead he said borrow for "cash flow", meaning, buy rental homes/apartment/mobile home park, that generates monthly income every month="cash flow". As people are being kicked out of their homes (for being stupid) they are renting (from him possibly). Nonetheless, I'm stacking food now.
@SilverDude7890 Well he completely wrong .No one going to kick you out of your home,Even now if you get foreclosed on rarely does anyone come to kick you out. They write letters and some people move out but many stay .I know people who have been in homes for years .Understand there are so many homes in default no one wants them ... Things will only get worst ...
@RobHansonPhotography Yes, the laughter is a little out of place. And one thing they fail to mention is the possibility for revolution. And that will be a very real possibility if the dollar becomes completely worthless. As far as the one mention of war - if nuclear weapons are used I don't think these folks will be laughing it off. Nuclear war will not "bring an economy back." It will destroy the economy along with everything else. We are looking at a potential nightmare situation.
@RobHansonPhotography Agreed. These guys are actually 'stuck' in the matrix and using the rules of the 'matrix' to escape/dominate, this is about to change. They have guns, how proud and egocentrically tough do they sound?
These guys are focused on what the 'controllers' will do at the top, BUT real change happens from the bottom, if nobody has any money what good is gold and silver? A lump of metal, a piece of paper, a seashell, a coconut, its all based upon the PERCEPTION of the observer
@RobHansonPhotography An example of how people can work together is community gardens, if there is so much unused real estate then let's put it to good use, not leave it rotting away as an asset on a bank's P&L statement. Teachers for example would be free to teach properly, without the idiotic educational 'standards' intruding upon creativity and in return society gives them a house, food etc. Far fetched? No way! We have come a long way, seen enough wars, we want real change, collapse is good!
@RobHansonPhotography (apologies for raving on, I'm not usually this disturbed) As you said 'he bragged about paying 0 in taxes. Hedge funds are set up to pay 15% tax, therefore they can earn BILLIONS and pay 15%. Paulson earned 7billion in 2010, 6 billion in 2009 and paid 15%! Now that's plain disharmony in society. What if everyone turns their backs on this illusion and decides to get in contact with their higher selves to live an even better life than before? Game over for these clowns
@TheKMCollection Yeah. As they used to say, "He's a regular laugh-riot." Har-dee-har-har... (Old Jackie Gleason reference, for you young'ns out there.)
The "rich", who are in denial about what it takes to truly survive as a human animal, will be the first to go.
The arrogant are the first to fall in any deciding situation.
@RobHansonPhotography I agree with you to some extent - I'm not sure why they're so cheerful about what could be a catastrophic time in which many people could suffer. Having said that, I think they're right to share ideas on how to protect your wealth if it means it will help you provide for your family, or help the poor keep what little they might have.
@Kolbe71 To be clear, I have said that the advice of gold, guns & groceries may be sound, depending on one's perspective. (Buddhists might not choose to take up guns.)
What I railed against was their laughing in the face of so much potential human suffering, giving the impression that they're immune to it all.
I've cautioned against anyone ruining their lives by following this advice too closely. RK has been seriously misguided in the past. He is part of the problem, not the solution.
@RobHansonPhotography Yes, their smugness is pretty nauseating. And you're right that people shouldn't take their advice too seriously, although I do think putting a small amount of one's savings in silver and gold is a sound idea, simply as an insurance against financial calamity that could wipe out any cash you might have. I don't think anyone would disagree that the world economy is being hollowed out by debt and some sort of collapse is sadly inevitable, not tomorrow but in a few years.
Your response is much more rational than some of the vitriolic knee-jerk responses I sometimes see on pieces like this. Thanks.
"Prepare", I think, means so much more than guns, gold, and groceries. Prepare your mind. Prepare to breath. Prepare to remain calm. Prepare to share. Prepare to link with others. Realize that the world will change.
@RobHansonPhotography Rob, you have to look at this from their perspective as well. If you have watched some of Mike's other videos you will know that it actually saddens him that this will all come to fruition. He even says in his book that he would rather go broke then see what is coming.
But these guys are laughed at and scorned by most people in America. I don't think their smuggness is meant for us as much as it is the people who laugh at them and their predictions. JMO though.
@grekridea I don't disagree. I'm sure it saddens them. Too bad we couldn't witness some of that emotion coming through on this video. It would have been useful.
I remember an old movie "The Day After", about post-nuclear exchange. Scared the stew out of a lot of people, because it showed the possible reality, which few had considered.
IF this is to happen; IF the people above 'see' it; THEN they should be more somber, less jocular.
Tony Robbins had the appropriate tone when he said the same.
@RobHansonPhotography It's just gallows humour. They are optimistic in a way in that they all agree there are opportunities for people who know what is going on. It's the people who aren't preparing and have placed their faith in govt. that are going to get screwed. There is no reason that you have to be one of those people. Put a smile on your face and take the necessay steps. You can help out friends and family when the time comes. They won't be laughing then.
@RobHansonPhotography I have close to a million dollars in debt in multiple properties and investment, and yet still have positive networth with free and clear home and other assets. I too believe that our economy will collapse under decades of Washington mismanagement and greedy few. Oh btw, those debts, allow me to pay 0 in taxes too. So it is very possible and it is a great way to live and prepare for the worst that's coming.
@TheBroncosism "... it is a great way to live and prepare for the worst..."
I'm glad you're happy with your perspective. I don't happen to share the notion of thriving while others suffer, but that kind of difference is what makes the world so interesting in the first place.
I mentioned earlier the notion of zero-sum game, where the success of one is at the expense of the misfortune of another. This thinking is what got us here. The only way to stop that, is to stop participating in that game.
@RobHansonPhotography Wow they laugh because like me I have been getting ready for this time. Now others are laughing at me . Later they will be crying because they did nothing .
@METASEARCHUS Your comment didn't seem to help you very much. If I call RK and crew 'heartless' or 'arrogant,' aren't you putting yourself squarely in that group?
I'm well prepared. Have been for some time, now. It just makes good sense...
But I'm not laughing.
That's because I care about the welfare of other people, and realize that, come hell or high water, we're all in the same boat, and on the same planet. YOUR welfare is intrinsically tied to that of others. Truth.
I laugh about the same thing... they are laugh because although thinsg are going to get really bad... they really dont have alot to worry about. THey are ahead of the curve... the black humor about this like a wink wink nod to those people who have brought up the subject or talked about this for a long time were considered "tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorists" and "paranoid anit-goverment types". I laugh in vindication on the views I have stood by.
@HopllyteAlpha Nobody laughs in the midst of a nuclear conflagration, no matter how rich or "ahead of the curve." Unless you can leave the planet, you're not immune to the dangers that might lie ahead.
For the record, I'm not saying "don't prepare." Quite the opposite.
Just let's not be so arrogant as to presume that you can prepare for all eventualities, or be immune from the forces of nature.
Part of our problem is the hubris that we humans have developed over time. It'll gitch ya.
@RobHansonPhotography I have survived more near death experiences than most people care to know about. I laugh in the face of death... all this... is funny to me... The kind of humor that came over the Spartans before they faced the army of Xerxes... Im not affraid to die... AND I AM DEFINITELY NOT AFFRAID TO LIVE! The joke is on you.... In truth nothing much will change for me... My people have been waiting for this to happen since 1492!
@HopllyteAlpha I don't know why people continue to respond to me on this thread, particularly if they have not made an effort to read through ALL the responses where much more is revealed.
I find it hilarious that certain asshats come along, addressing me directly, telling me how fucking superior they are to others, when they have no idea who I am, what I stand for, what I have done to prepare, my ideology, my politic, my religion, etc., or whether or not I'm "afraid to die."
@RobHansonPhotography "The king in the center is the same one who wrote a series of books that ENCOURAGED people to go deeply in debt for real estate." WRONG.
If you have ever read any of his books he talks about different types of debt and WARNS that going into debt is risky and ill-advised for most people. Don't generalize my friend.
@Jasgent "then ignore it man..." I think you have me confused with someone else here.
I have not been ignoring the financial crisis. My head is not in the sand. I have not attacked the messenger - quite to the contrary, I've said the advice is sound. I just don't appreciate the method and intent of message delivery is all.
I am free, but it is only by understanding reality, not ignoring it.
Like I said, you must have me confused with some other commenter.
I wouldn't trust this either. Robert Kiyosaki personally caused much of what we are experiencing. When I see him say things like "we're changing history" like he did on this video, shows he isn't as smart as many would think. Paranoid delusionalists
@MerulaMondlicht yes i think that is it exactly! not only are they controlling the collapse of the economic system of the world, but also the food supply. we need to stock up on heirloom seeds too. they are bio engineering seeds to only produce product one season. forcing farmers to buy their seeds each season at what ever price the government desires to charge . this world as we know it will completely turn upside down soon
they are placing laws into effect that the police can come into your home and 'seize suspicious items'. what is their definition of 'suspicious'? food and water? how about a massive stock pile of guns and ammunition? we are going to need to hide it or bury it. not just have it sitting on a shelf in the garage or basement ready for them to come in and take it for their purposes
Redesigning landscape to food forest and reuse water, redesigning efficiency back into civilization. There is no profit in it? I know! These egomaniacs are the least among us.
@ecosutra Good luck defending your garden of eden food forest from hungry humans in the event of a hyper inflationary collapse. A metaphysical heaven is just as absurd as an earthly one, likely stemming from a total lack of understanding about the human animal and probably a somewhat privileged upbringing.
For every 100 ounces of paper gold in the world, there is only 10 ounces of real gold that can match it in the real sense. Its all a ponzi scheme,a nd will emplode. Energy return on investment will crush gold THey mine 30 tons of earth a day to get one gram.
Not one word about Permaculture! Asking the business section to fix this problem is like asking Sharks to restore coral reef. Its like asking a cavity to fix a root canal. Its like asking a dog to fix the plant by peeing on it.
lets be honest, prepared or not when the shit hits the fan, these "prepared" individuals are going to be the first to go. Unless they can go hunting in their BMWs and wear designer suits to go hunting and gathering.
@swags707 LOL Swag, what makes you think I don't drive my BMW to my acreage where the poorer people pay me to hunt every year? What makes you think that your little Remington 30-06 & Bushnell scope is more effective than my Kimber 30-06 with a Trijicon? What makes you think that your training/shooting at the range is somehow more effective than my tactical training/shooting? People like me have 10x your preps & training & experience.
Post-Collapse, just like today, the wealthy will thrive!
Strangely, there is a real risk with pm's. If shtf that badly, governments are going to be in great desperation. They will not respect the wishes of a few to hoard what might be the only effective money. Expect it to be acquisitioned if the s realy hits the fan.
@gettingahandle I was thinking about that but the fact is it's real hard to prove that you got some gold or silver hidden alot harder than the irs garnishing your check or making withdraws from your bank which they can do now, still got to be better to have it and take the risk of them tryin to get it.... then just not havin it at all right? then your already screwed to start with
You should always be prepared for the worst, regardless of an economic collapse

I don't pay Federal Taxes. Period.
It is an illegal, false, tax that should not be paid.
Since I quit paying that, SEVERAL years ago, I have managed MY finances a lot better.
Of course, I get the occasion letter threatening some kind of action and, yet.....nothing has ever happened.
There is no law for Federal Taxes.
Therefore, you cannot be jailed for "breaking the law"....if the law does not exist.

The problem with food storage is that if you have to bug out, it is difficult to transport.

The establishments of both parties are nearly identical.
joepeeler34 8 months ago
@joepeeler34 I agree wholeheartedly, but would add that the tea party freshmen in the house have put a check on the establishment Republicans. The midterm elections were a good start, but 2012 is gonna be the big one. I expect major voter fraud from the left, and possibly a civil war if leftists and their pet minorities don't get their way. It may actually happen before that.
amcent2 8 months ago
@joepeeler34 True! The two parties are nearly identical, but with opposing ideologies. Therein lies the problem. You can't fit a crowbar between the two.
Until we can develop an integral politic -- where it is understood that no one is 100% right, nor 100% wrong -- and find a way to integrate the differing viewpoints, will the world be a better place.
Yah... good luck with that. It'll take a breaking of the system to understand how to build a new system that will suit multiple perspectives.

When the economy collapses, gold will not have a uniform value across the globe and you may indeed find people who refuse to barter with it, but when the economy does rebuild, you'll be glad you held onto it. And a small gold coin could save your life via barter for safe passage one day.

Gone.

He recently bragged about paying 0 in taxes.
I wouldn't trust this.
RobHansonPhotography 8 months ago
@RobHansonPhotography Yes there are a lot of problems, and I too feel they are grave. But this man never said borrow money and buy real estate...He says "your house is a liability, not an asset". Very true. Instead he said borrow for "cash flow", meaning, buy rental homes/apartment/mobile home park, that generates monthly income every month="cash flow". As people are being kicked out of their homes (for being stupid) they are renting (from him possibly). Nonetheless, I'm stacking food now.

We are looking at a potential nightmare situation.

straty01 8 months ago 2
@RobHansonPhotography An example of how people can work together is community gardens, if there is so much unused real estate then let's put it to good use, not leave it rotting away as an asset on a bank's P&L statement. Teachers for example would be free to teach properly, without the idiotic educational 'standards' intruding upon creativity and in return society gives them a house, food etc. Far fetched? No way! We have come a long way, seen enough wars, we want real change, collapse is good!
straty01 8 months ago
@RobHansonPhotography (apologies for raving on, I'm not usually this disturbed) As you said 'he bragged about paying 0 in taxes. Hedge funds are set up to pay 15% tax, therefore they can earn BILLIONS and pay 15%. Paulson earned 7billion in 2010, 6 billion in 2009 and paid 15%! Now that's plain disharmony in society. What if everyone turns their backs on this illusion and decides to get in contact with their higher selves to live an even better life than before? Game over for these clowns

Kolbe71 8 months ago
@Kolbe71 To be clear, I have said that the advice of gold, guns & groceries may be sound, depending on one's perspective. (Buddhists might not choose to take up guns.)
What I railed against was their laughing in the face of so much potential human suffering, giving the impression that they're immune to it all.
I've cautioned against anyone ruining their lives by following this advice too closely. RK has been seriously misguided in the past. He is part of the problem, not the solution.
RobHansonPhotography 8 months ago
@RobHansonPhotography Yes, their smugness is pretty nauseating. And you're right that people shouldn't take their advice too seriously, although I do think putting a small amount of one's savings in silver and gold is a sound idea, simply as an insurance against financial calamity that could wipe out any cash you might have. I don't think anyone would disagree that the world economy is being hollowed out by debt and some sort of collapse is sadly inevitable, not tomorrow but in a few years.
Kolbe71 8 months ago
@Kolbe71 Agree with your post on all counts.
It always does. Nothing is written in stone.
RobHansonPhotography 8 months ago
@RobHansonPhotography Rob, you have to look at this from their perspective as well. If you have watched some of Mike's other videos you will know that it actually saddens him that this will all come to fruition. He even says in his book that he would rather go broke then see what is coming.

grekridea 8 months ago
@grekridea I don't disagree. I'm sure it saddens them. Too bad we couldn't witness some of that emotion coming through on this video. It would have been useful.
I remember an old movie "The Day After", about post-nuclear exchange. Scared the stew out of a lot of people, because it showed the possible reality, which few had considered.
IF this is to happen; IF the people above 'see' it; THEN they should be more somber, less jocular.
Tony Robbins had the appropriate tone when he said the same.
RobHansonPhotography 8 months ago
@RobHansonPhotography It's just gallows humour. They are optimistic in a way in that they all agree there are opportunities for people who know what is going on. It's the people who aren't preparing and have placed their faith in govt. that are going to get screwed. There is no reason that you have to be one of those people. Put a smile on your face and take the necessay steps. You can help out friends and family when the time comes. They won't be laughing then.

METASEARCHUS 8 months ago
@METASEARCHUS Your comment didn't seem to help you very much. If I call RK and crew 'heartless' or 'arrogant,' aren't you putting yourself squarely in that group?
I'm well prepared. Have been for some time, now. It just makes good sense...
But I'm not laughing.
That's because I care about the welfare of other people, and realize that, come hell or high water, we're all in the same boat, and on the same planet. YOUR welfare is intrinsically tied to that of others. Truth.
No man is an island.

HopllyteAlpha 8 months ago

We can all laugh.

Don't generalize my friend.
nblatsuu 8 months ago
@nblatsuu Good point. I recall that now. (It's been years since I read his books.) Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
At the time, I decided it was ill-advised for my situation, and chose not to go into debt. I'm happy for that now.

@RobHansonPhotography then ignore it man, ignore the financial crisis, put your head in the sand, attack the messenger. Be free, ignore reality.
Jasgent 8 months ago
@Jasgent "then ignore it man..." I think you have me confused with someone else here.
I have not been ignoring the financial crisis. My head is not in the sand. I have not attacked the messenger - quite to the contrary, I've said the advice is sound. I just don't appreciate the method and intent of message delivery is all.
I am free, but it is only by understanding reality, not ignoring it.
Like I said, you must have me confused with some other commenter.

@RobHansonPhotography
I wouldn't trust this either. Robert Kiyosaki personally caused much of what we are experiencing. When I see him say things like "we're changing history" like he did on this video, shows he isn't as smart as many would think. Paranoid delusionalists

@MerulaMondlicht yes i think that is it exactly! not only are they controlling the collapse of the economic system of the world, but also the food supply. we need to stock up on heirloom seeds too. they are bio engineering seeds to only produce product one season. forcing farmers to buy their seeds each season at what ever price the government desires to charge . this world as we know it will completely turn upside down soon
woddensoapbox 8 months ago
they are placing laws into effect that the police can come into your home and 'seize suspicious items'. what is their definition of 'suspicious'? food and water? how about a massive stock pile of guns and ammunition? we are going to need to hide it or bury it. not just have it sitting on a shelf in the garage or basement ready for them to come in and take it for their purposes

Redesigning landscape to food forest and reuse water, redesigning efficiency back into civilization. There is no profit in it? I know! These egomaniacs are the least among us.
ecosutra 8 months ago

Unless they can go hunting in their BMWs and wear designer suits to go hunting and gathering.
swags707 10 months ago

Expect it to be acquisitioned if the s realy hits the fan.
gettingahandle 11 months ago
@gettingahandle I was thinking about that but the fact is it's real hard to prove that you got some gold or silver hidden alot harder than the irs garnishing your check or making withdraws from your bank which they can do now, still got to be better to have it and take the risk of them tryin to get it.... then just not havin it at all right? then your already screwed to start with
