  • Man, that was a fun show!

  • Love the exchange at .30--daring back in the day when you couldn't retrieve dropped equipment. Phantom's and Blue Devils' rifles did an exchange in their shows as well that year.

  • The soprano line was moving at the melody of the music not the beat. But, yes, it looked messy. And then I actually got out of step. It was a fun fun show. For most of the year we marched 16 rifles. triples with no dip and you can't see it but the rifles did triple behind the back catch in the closer.

  • None of us thought the Kilties were gong to make the finals in 78 but they had a kickass prelim show and pulled it off. Good for them. I recall they also did Everybody's Everthing by Santana and really did an outstanding job at it.

  • Feet are awful, especially at 1:00

  • thanks for this...and you are right....when you really worked with the rifle not danced with it,( and it wasn't that little piece of plastic!)

  • @abbyasta Colorguards today most definitely do work with their rifle. They have taken a step away from the military, which is by no means a horrible thing. Things change, and some people enjoy modern day drum corps more. Although this is not true for everyone don't you find it a little pointless to bash the efforts that kids still give today? These kids work 12 hours a day, and i would not dare say that they do little with their equipment. And the rifles today are wooden, not plastic.

  • wow good color guard!! besides their feet...
