Final Fantasy IX just had overall phenomenal music. Melodies of Life, The battle theme, Gizamaluke's theme, and my personal favorite, You're Not Alone. Best music of any game I've ever played.

Ahh, well Final Fantasy used to be good. I really miss it. This was prob the last GREAT final fantasy game. In my view. The music was strong, the storyline was gripping and overall, you remember it.

@NY1love I have to disagree. It's hard to dispute that Square's production quality has faltered a good bit. At this point, their only saving grace is honestly appealing to very particular crowds. I understand innovation, but Final Fantasy XIII was just a fundamentally bad game. I'm sure I'll get the opinion lecture for that, but the truth is, while it's your opinion to like the game, it's not an opinion of whether it is of high quality or not, which it wasn't. Not to bash FF13 in particular

believe it or not, this was the first game that i ever beat legitimately, without cheats. i found the case under a pile of clothes in my mom's room, it looked as if it hadn't been touched before. i looked at the back and i thought i'd start playing it. i found my ps1 in my brother's room, the berrings in the spinny thing were missing, and eventually the discs got badly scratched, the load times are horrible but it's still playable. in my honest opinion, this was the best game i have ever played.

probably my only complain in this game was that they still started every battle with the cam that show every single detail of the stage, kinda like: "admire the 3D!!!!"(wich takes like 3 of 10 hours of gameplay)
