The chord diagrams from left to right are the thickest (low E) to the thinnest string (high E). Imagine the guitar is standing on its end.

Personally think it sounds better when it's played 'F#Minor, A, E, B'

which is what ta' book says, but great lesson all the same.

If you think it sounds better that way then go for it. If you wanted to play open chords for the this version (not the Tears for Fear version) then the chords would be Fm, G#, D# and A#.

The guitar is in standard tuning, the capo puts it in the same key as the Michael Andrews/Gary Jules version

It's called a capo and yes you do need it if you want to play it in the same key as we do (and the original). They are cheap to buy and very useful

Thanks, the reason I don't play all the way through the songs is it makes the videos too long, eventually the idea is to do all the songs on our covers channel but that may take a while as I have to get Vince to come and sing them for me.
