@itouchwoogy you might want to try a different external SD card... or format the one you have using the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool. Google search should find it for you.

@missmc222 1.5.5 is the current firmware of your device. I am not sure if there is a newer one out there. You could always check the Slatedroid forum and ROMS there.

@megatron2015 personal I like the Mid V8 for the screen size... but if you are looking at a 7" version... there is a KGB Deal going on right now from Merimobiles for the Herotab M6 priced at 57% off for $159.99. Go to google and search for KGB Herotab M6 to check it out. I have a review video as well. It is a nice unit with performance similar to the Samsung units, Gingerbread 2.3, 512mb RAM, and a 5 point Multi-Touch Capacitive screen. Performance and quality is night and day difference.

@megatron2015 you can see the performance of angry birds in the review video... it works provided the background is off, but it is not super smooth. I don't know if it will be able to run Raging Thunder.

@megatron2015 I won't be able to do a video review anytime soon, but I did download and load Raging Thunder Lite on my V8 w/ the Modroid ROM. It ran, but the Gsensor was reversed and VERY sensitive it was also a bit choppy. I then downloading Raging Thunder II Lite while the graphics were "cleaner" it was extremely choppy and slow along with the same GSensor sensitivities.

@Azhante You will probably want to do an update again with one of the ROMS and use the changer.bat to select a working option.

@MrTasselhof i tried that as well several times. The few roms that did work on my device resulted in me not being able to use the touch screen. i even replaced the env_uboot files which also failed. Any suggestions? i have the M70007t with green led.

@pop90ful make sure the firmware files are on the root of the MicroSD card... include the WMD script file. The system should auto start the firmware update. It will prompt you when you can remove the card.

You totally rock! I just got my WM8650 today (it was listed as an Eken m009s) and the upgrade went exactly as you showed. The new Vestinious firmware works great and is much faster. THANK YOU! (p.s. thanks a 100 times i think the option 8 is compatible with my device because the wifi is working ok on mine.but im still looking see wat is the best market in this version of rom because the previouse one on my market all the app was free and i was using apkshare as well...i try searching for apkshare in this market on the new rom i upgraded but came out no result..hopefully i will see one soon..keep them video coming for the rom update as well thanks,,..

@visikajek All the files you need are included with the ROM. Just extract them to the root directory of the MicroSD while it is connected to your computer. Then run Changer.bat and select your option. Once it is completed and closed, eject the card and put it in to your tablet. Boot up and it will take care of the rest and let you know when to remove the card. Before you can use that card again during bootup, you will need to remove the files.

@MrTasselhof funny thing is that i did everything exract the file run the changer.bat file from the sd card while its still connected to my pc i chose the number of model then it says to press any key to exit so i just hit enter then it exit out...so u unplug my sd card from my computer pluged it in my tablet turn on my tablet nothing happen all it does is the normal start up ...it doesnt say upgrading or what so ever..

@visikajek it should be able to... You can also try the Uberoid ROM which has a Changer.bat file to make it compatible with a LOT of devices.

@Spankyward the vestinious firmware has been recreated and renamed to Slatedroid Singularity. It is still managed and created by Roger. There is also a second custom ROM option called Hybrid ROM (Uberoid) that is on V5 and has proven to be very nice. You can find all the ROM information on the forum.

This is also the same proces used for upgrading eken m009s and other wm8650 based tablets, you can recognise which version you have by looking at the led (green or blue) and the headphone jack (black or green), other than that all these devices are identical

@BredasFinest I have a blue light, so what's that mean? l tried the Hybrid, but when it restarted for the first time, it never got past the splash screen with Hybrid on it. Not sure why. Maybe I have the wrong model? Thanks for all this info. I really appreciate it. Do you know if there is any way to use netflix, hulu, or hbo go on the Mid V7? Thanks for the help.

@MrTasselhof I downloaded the file to my computer. I opened it, double clicked on CHANGER.bat it came back saying "The system cannot find the file specified. Change WM8650 ROM config to number.../ Q=Quit :

Nothing asking to pick an option. I tried saving the hybrid file on the sd card, then extracting to the card, then running the changer bat but it said the same. Sorry, I'm new to all of this. Thanks for the help and patience.

@Spankyward Ok so you downloaded the latest Uberoid version. You need to extract the contents on to your MicroSD card. On the root directly of the card you should see: Folder FirmwareInstall, Changer.bat, Changer.dat, wmt_script.cmd. Double click on changer.bat. It should bring up a command prompt window where you can select the option. After you have chosen an option remove the card and put it in your device and boot. It should write the ROM and then ask you to remove the card and reboot.

@Spankyward hard to say... I think there has been some success with netflix on other devices... Hulu is heavily flashed based and flash eats resources... so possibly not on this device.
