It's logically impossible to ever not be motivated by one's own self-interest--even if you like to deceive yourself as an altruist, you get satisfaction out of such deeds. Indeed, one could not even conceive of true altruism as it would require the simultaneous absence and presence of your mind. By this, I don't mean to suggest "all people are evil" (indeed, you're the only one implying it as a moral wrong) for egoism is actually very healthy.

Anyway, people can be altruist, without the satisfaction of doing so. They just know that they have to do it. But that requires the absence of ego and the presence of inner silence, which Geaxism is all about, plus also the politics of it. This helps you connect with other individuals on a different level, not emotionally, but factually.
