One thing is though..Katakana comes from Chinese characters. If we look at the meaning of Katakana, it means "Side kana". The "side" refer to the radicals of Chinese characters that either indicate it's sound or gives a hint to its meaning. Anyone who knows Japanese would know this.

And poeple that say Japanese 'sounds similar' are writing the words in English alphabet, ignoring how the words are formed. They depend on an ideogram writing system called kanji. They have set readings. Words are not only sounds but also symbolic - and this carries through wherever the kanji are used.
Japanese and Herbrew 'sound similar' if you take the former completely out of its context.

Merely coincidence. Languages throughout the world share similarities in words but it does not mean they are the same. There are some words in Finnish that sound like Japanese but doesnt mean that Finnish are lost Japanese people vice=versa.

Just because there are words that sound similar, does not mean they are the same.
Hiragana ORIGINATES FROM Chinese Characters. Hiragana stemmed from Manyogana. Look it up online. Search for "Manyogana"

Yup, plain and simple coincidence. If Japanese culture was perhaps influenced by Jewish culture, accounts of Jewish people and cultural artifacts would be left as evidence along the way of migration. A whole ethnicity cant just migrate really quick to another place.
So, there are more than 100 words that may have the same meaning/sound in Spanish and Indian languages, but it doesnt mean that it is the same.

You can get perhaps any two cultures and find similarities between them. All across the world, all peoples share countless imagry, motifs and ritualism. Why? Because our ancestors all experienced and were awed by the same basic things. The people that say Japanese are one of the 'lost tribes' are not following good anthropological practice. Even a casual interest in ancient history will show, as I said, endless examples of similarities between cultures, especially within similar latitudes.

Exactly. Similarities in human culture and language are because of our common ancestors. I would suggest a look at Zompist's website. I have one professor who is of Jewish descent and spoke to him about this. He said that the world is obsessed with the "lost tribes" and they like to claim that certain cultures are Lost Hebrew Tribes.

Not really. Similar, in that they tend to flow, but of course, you are talking about Katakana and Hiragana. They come from the Chinese based characters (called Kanji), and they are all ideograms, depicting ideas, terrain, flora and fauna. Japanese phonetic characters all inherit their form from these Chinese ones. Unless the Chinese are also the Lost Tribe.
NOTE: that the oldest recorded examples of Hiragana is dated end of the 5th Century. When did the Jews get here to Japan?

Rippa means 'excellent' in Japanese, AND 'excellent' in Australian English. Japanese also has thousands of borrowed words from many languages, including German, Dutch, English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and of course Chinese. Who is to say that there aren't Hebrew words in there as well? It doesn't prove any ancestry between speakers though.
These similarities are possibly there but the conclusions being drawn are another example of cherry-picking data in order to prove a vested interest.

Another example. "suki" means to "like in" Japanese and suka means "to like" in Bahasa Malay. Just because of this doesnt mean that Japanese came from Malay, vice-versa. There are a multitude of similarities throughout the cultures of the world be it linguistic or cultural, but doesnt mean they are the same.

Japanese is a wonderful language to use and learn. Because of these characters (kanji, I assume, is what you are referring to), the language is incredible rich in metaphor and nuance that languages based on phononetic alphabets cannot have. For this reason, all those characters can enable some incredible poetry in even simple written words.
