I always take it as a general rule of thumb that villains are always cooler (by about 20%), more stylish and more interesting than the heroes, as well as having great themes to go with them.

I think it's because without an interesting villain you have no reason to care for why the hero fights them to begin with.

I liked scar as a child people thought it was fcked up that I did but I never saw him as a villain he was just taking back what was rightfully his, and he tried to put an end to the suffering of the hyenas who are treated like second rate citizens who are left to starve in the bone yards.
