When you kill the rat after she hides in the grass it sounds like 'keep going' I mean a sound that indicates that you are doing fine in the easter egg but just until the rat is hiding. Hope this helps
When you look at the map, it gives clues on how to do this. Find a laundry cart and moving it over a drain seems to be a part to this Easter egg, try to read the map and see what it says, some of it is difficult to read. Hope this helps.

naww u got to have 4 ppl in here playin as classic marcus, adam fenix, marcus and un armored marcus, an armored marcus has to shoot a digger at the body while the rat is escapin and adam fenix gotta step on the rat at the same time of the explosion, then the gate will open but just to get the ball out, idk wat u do aftr though
maybe you have to play beast, and do it with a boomer, then you can step on the rat, because when you first see the boomers in gears one, there is a cut scene where he steps on a rat
What i heard is u need to have a person at every x door soon as you put the ball in.. one of the doors will say to press the button and it will only comeup before the rat escapes... ima try it out later today.. il hit you all up if i find out anythin :)
GUYS, I think i figured it out, so when you put the thrashball in, and the mouse comes out, when it sticks its nose in the air, shoot it! works best with cog. after, look down the hall, you will see a man in a chair, and only the digger can go under the fence, so be sure to replace one of the spawns with a digger, and shoot it at him. i dont know what to do afterwards, but dont get rid of the flame grenades, when you through them into the grassy area near there, a big fire happens.
shoot all the water juggs first then kick the ball through and dont forget to have big head mode on ;) i cant post videos but i can try to help.... makes a sound when you do it i think it might trigger something but not to sure...
Not sure if this is a graphical issue, but me and my friend both saw this when we discovered it. The X's on the walls / doors, seem to disappear the further you are away from them, not sure if its a clue, but try it out

After playing with this easter egg, I've found a few interesting things. First, there are what look like bloody wretch tracks in four different locations on the map: the showers, the laundry, a drain, and in front of one of the "X" doors. These may be something. Also, if you look at the map of the level, there is writing about a plan to escape The Slab, all of which also relate to the wretch track locations. Hope this helps somebody figure the rest out.

OK, I found out what to do with the frags... DON'T STEP ON THE RAT. Let it disappear into the grass, then throw a frag grenade (hence the rat pausing at the frag) at where the rat disappeared into. You'll get guts on your face and another creepy sound effect.

My theory is that those are the ones who went insane (hence the red X on the doors), and the evil laugh thing probably DOES have a way of opening the door, and when you open them you find nothing in there but just a room/cell. I'm pretty sure the cells in the prologue of the campaign is there also.

i glitched out the map with the spectating option in private and it had invisible barrier over under and sideways so i dident see anything clear but i sow the x rooms from behind and the laundry it was interesting :D
When the mouse came out i waited for it to go into the corner then i picked up the frags and threw it in the corner the mouse went into. when i blew up blood splashed across my screen.

I played Horde on private as Classic Dom and before i started the round i periodically went to all the doors with X's and i think it's now clear. The people behind those doors have Rustlung, Imulsion Sickness. I heard the sounds of painfull moaning, rattling on prison cell bars and the sound of someone gagging and throwing up. Every single time. I'm still unsure about that laugh when you kick the thrashball through the hole though.
@akajohn14 nope. there is a death barrier beyond the fence since it is off of the playable area. you can fit through the hole in the fence as a ticker in beast but you immediately die because of it

I heard you need to throw a frag grenade at the wall with an "X" below the frags and something will trigger you will see the grenade go left and explode then you should see a blood splatter. And a noise as if you triggered something.
I don't think you have to kill the rat, it stops at the grenades so the grenades may have something to do with it ? For example tagging the grenades on each of the doors and with a team detonate them all at the same time, just a theory someone message me if they want to give it a go
My friend found a second part you have to kill rat look and the chair was gone and the go to the lunchery and all the close are gone and the machines are open and look for blood three toed foot prints...that all he has his g tag is RGC Imulsion... And all the writing on the walls are gone...

I can't find out the rest of this, but on the map overview it says something about putting a cart on a laundry basket or something. Then put the basket under a drain.
On the map there's writing about a washer or something. And in the washer room there is one washer open, to me it looked like the rat sniffed the grenades so after doing the thrashball thing and killing the rat try throwing the grenades in the open washing machine.
Ok, Listen this easter egg is the reference to the movie Green Mile the man at the end of death row is the black man that was sentenced to death and that was also an angel he revived the rat in the movie SO DONT KILL THE RAT!!

Clayton says "Take this one with ya" and Onyx Guard says "Bagged and tagged"; which is their tagging phrase. Perhaps grenade tagging the doors/X's? Maybe throw a frag in the hole?
i think it is important to use the nates for this easter egg because the rats smells the nates, so i think about tossing nates through a gab or something like that near the doors
I think it may have to do with grenades, since the rat stays right by the frag grenades for a while before running off. Plus, if you play as the onyx guard, he says "Bagged and Tagged Bitch", the thing he usually says when he tags someone. So idk
Rumour is that the sounds from behind each X door is the sound of the new enemy locust boss for horde which will be released as playable character in the next Beast Mode upate. There's been talk about that defeating it as a boss in horde on The Slab will make it unlockable in beast mode.

If you go on the overhead view of the map (Select + B) It looks like there is a method of escaping the prison wrote onto it, I don't know whether this has anything to do with the easter egg itself, if there even is an easter egg! I have tried to decipher it but have had no luck :( You guys try looking and see what you make of it.
i checked it out tonight and yeah i did the thrash ball thing and the rat came out, looked pretty cool also saw the X's everywhere and the doors marked X with the strange sounds coming from within, i think maybe theyre just part of the backdrop, no significance at all but if they're somehow tied in with the rat then maybe they do mean something
notice the "X" near the hole in the fence, which means this is the starting point. If you watch the rat, he runs towards the direction of the next "X" Still can't figure it out tho lmao

My friend found a second part you have to kill rat look and the chair was gone and the go to the lunchery and all the close are gone and the machines are open and look for blood three toed foot prints...that all he has his g tag is RGC Imulsion... And all the writing on the walls are gone...

On the map there's writing about a washer or something. And in the washer room there is one washer open, to me it looked like the rat sniffed the grenades so after doing the thrashball thing and killing the rat try throwing the grenades in the open washing machine.

I think it may have to do with grenades, since the rat stays right by the frag grenades for a while before running off. Plus, if you play as the onyx guard, he says "Bagged and Tagged Bitch", the thing he usually says when he tags someone. So idk

Rumour is that the sounds from behind each X door is the sound of the new enemy locust boss for horde which will be released as playable character in the next Beast Mode upate. There's been talk about that defeating it as a boss in horde on The Slab will make it unlockable in beast mode.

If you go on the overhead view of the map (Select + B) It looks like there is a method of escaping the prison wrote onto it, I don't know whether this has anything to do with the easter egg itself, if there even is an easter egg! I have tried to decipher it but have had no luck :( You guys try looking and see what you make of it.

i checked it out tonight and yeah i did the thrash ball thing and the rat came out, looked pretty cool also saw the X's everywhere and the doors marked X with the strange sounds coming from within, i think maybe theyre just part of the backdrop, no significance at all but if they're somehow tied in with the rat then maybe they do mean something
