They just fed you a typical line of chicago PD bs........you should go do what one of my boys did.....the cops told him they recovered his car with no damage, ....the exact same thing happened ( car was stripped when he went to go get it).....he sued the chicago pd, and made their insurance cover it!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was drivable when the cops found it but the towing company need an engine and trans so they helped them self an now you got the rest of the car. gota love towing company's.

This almost happened to my girlfriend yesterday! An unmarked tow truck was creeping around our parking garage and the driver got out and looked at her car. Thought he might be a repo guy, but her car was paid in full 3 years ago. He decided not to act and left, BUT he backed his towing rig into her back windshield and smashed it. I've been on the lookout for this fucker but don't know where to start. He had no tag and the truck was unmarked. Any help from your experience would be appreciated.

I saw your previous video. It just shows your car being taken. That's the problem with videos. They just document what happened. All u can do is file a claim and enjoy your new ride. Sorry for your loss.

Off topic: You would never see an evidence technicians powder in and around a crime scence. 1. It's black. 2. The surface being worked on has to be smooth for a print to appear. 3. You have to use as little as possible in order for the print to show up and be lifted with tape.

Chicago Police don't dust for prints or look under the hood in cases of auto theft. They just write a report for the recovery. You can report it stolen over the phone because there is no need for the officer to be there. They then take a report and assign it to a Det. If there is no evidence in your video that leads to an arrest like a license plate or face, they suspend the investigation.

I feel your pain, my moms car got stolen 3 days ago i called the chicago cops they told me they couldn't send a squad car, that i could report the car stolen on the phone, i told them we had them on tape stealing the car if they could come and take a look, finally they send a cop over just to tell us his shift was over that he was sending another cop to check the tape, he never came.
