  • The dubke is from Jordon, Palestine, lebonon, Egypt, and Syria!

  • Lol since when was dabke only for lebanon, ps the best dabke is the palestinian one

not hating on Lebanese, i have many Lebanese

    just correcting ;)

  • Who said Dabka is Lebanese ?

Its for Jordan , Palestine Lebanon and Syria

  • The dabke is Lebanese. Open a book you uneducated pricks

  • @1997Christiano There is no spicific story of how the dabke was originated.

  • اخيرآ اقدر اتعلم نوع من الدبكة~

  • what was the name of the song playing ?

  • GET FUCKED ITS LEBANESE we are much more interesting than you Syrians Egyptians arabs LEBANESE FOREVER

  • @Leboguy12345 and u can go fuck urself u dirty lebanese son of a bitch

  • @Leboguy12345 fuck off you fucking uneducated bastard........fuck you and your shit ancestry..... syrians will always be better than shitty lebanese

  • dabke is middle eastern not lebanese

  • why u dont have palestinian one

    its better nd harder lol

  • Okay it's not Lebanese...but they way they're doing it makes it sound like the lebanese way because the Palestinian Dabke has more action to it..but both ways the person is wrong.... BTW Good Video

  • good tutorial! wish i could have been part of the chain :(

  • i am lebanese and i speak arabic cuz there s no such thin called lebanese language lol

nd dabke IS NOT only for lebanese

its popular in syria palestine jordane iraq lebanon

  • @MrTarek117 EXACTLY :P

  • @MrTarek117 who cares what you speak ..that information is irrelevent.

  • @urburning irrelevant*

  • @MrTarek117 .. there's a lebanese accent not language

  • Immm sry but dabke IS lebanese from the first traditioonaalll dabkeh That is alot different then thiss !! the traditional dabke that u dance alone !! Dabkehh was first created by lebanese and then change to be dance in groups !

  • what is the song called?

  • Dabke (Arabic: دبكة; also transliterated dabka, and dabkeh) is the most popular Arab folk dance in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestineand Syria. It is also danced in parts of Egypt. A line dance, it is widely performed at weddings and joyous occasions. The leader of the dabke heads the line, alternating between facing the audience and the other dancers.

  • you ppl have to chill they didnt say its only lebanese who do dabke , all the shame countries do!! but each of those countries(lebanon, pali, syrai...) have different kinds of dabke and this video showed the simple basic lebanese one ;)

  • The Dabke originated in the Levant. The Levant is just a name for all of the countries including; Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Jordan (Some parts of Iraq). So technically this video can't say only Lebanon.

  • good job..now I can dance Dabke...yay

  • mannnn this is not dabke.... low kick is not putting ur foot in the air its put ur heel to the floor and when you combine the y the one is the right is waving bye bye.....gay

    or am sorry.....veeeerrrrrryyyyyyyy ggggggaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy

  • The funny thing is if you ask some(not all) lebanese people they say:

    Dabke is lebanese

The food is lebanese (They make it sound as if the other surrounding contries was eating rocks and dirt before lebanon introduced the "lebanese food")

"We speak Lebanese not Arabic" (its the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's Like an american would say "I don't speak English I speak American" its just a diffrent accent!)

Don't misunderstand me I don't hate lebanese, just ignorant people.

  • @pieroDaG Firstly we dont say that we dont speak arabic because we do speak arabic but what we say is that we are not arabic we arre lebanese because lebanese ancestor are not arabiann !!! and who u think u are u american dumb ass ? ''I dont speak english i speak americain '' Maybe u dont say that but what you do say is We are americain ?? Wtff U think that the whol america is united-stats ? u f*ckn stupid ? ur contry is united-stats and not fkn america because in america u have other contry!

  • thats wrong in this song not khabta its khabot ten..!! :)

  • Why's everyone so pissed that they called it Lebanese? Do these people matter to u? Are u ever going to see them? No. So grow up and just enjoy the vid

  • rani's hot! :D

  • Dabka is arabic not Lebanese by any means.

  • BTW There is lots of ways to dance dabke, but thank you for the video

  • BTW Dabke for "Bilaad el sham" .... i mean Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria.

  • @Amneh94 not really cuz we have it in iraq too (: dabke is actually popular in palestine, syria, lebanon, jordan and iraq

  • Bloody hell.... they meant this is the LEBANESE version, not that it's exclusive to Lebanon!!

  • To say this is Lebanese, is just the talk of meaningless fagots, they are everywhere these days, you should get used to them

  • Dabke didn't originate in modern day Palestine or Lebanon...It's an ARABIC dance, it probably evolved from some ancient Middle Eastern dance (probably Assyrian or Aramaic, so it originated in the Levant (Modern day Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan)) and spread around the middle east. If you don't believe me, look at the Assyrians, Jews, Kurds, Turks, and even Greeks..they all have similar dances that involve going in a circle and stomping.

  • @muslimene1 dabke originated in the levant which is lebanon palestine syria and jordan not just in palestine but everybody has a diferent way of doing it thats why it says lebanese dabke not because dabke itself is lebanses but because of the style

  • funny, ive always been doing it with my left foot going behind no wonder i trip and hold the line up lol shame

  • To say that dabke is Lebanese rather than Levantine Arab cultural dance is a stab in the heart of people who dream of Arab unity. Maybe that was the intention. I don't know.

  • lebanese pusyyy hummmm i see

  • whats the name of the song at the end when they start the dabke

  • @kentwood9 3alawah or allawah by melhem zein

  • الفيديو مش عايز يكمل ليه ؟؟

  • Comment removed

  • @floridarampage1 since when lebanon is chatolic there are maronit and orthodox christ and shia and sunni muslims

  • thankuuuu i wish i learnt this before i went to my lebanese friend's wedding yesterday lol! its soo sexy

  • Whats the songs name in this video?

  • Comment removed

  • @db895 The name of the song in this video is called 3alawa by Melhem Zein

  • Awesome video for english people to learn.

  • Dabkeh is not EXCLUSIVE to Lebanon.. in fact Syria has its own form of Dakbeh so does Jordan and Palestine. Get your facts straight

  • plai lebanon syria and egypt dont have arab dna

  • I am lebanese and i disagree when it says '' the dabke is a tradition lebanese dance'' , its not only in lebanon, its generaly in the Levant, or Bilad Al Sham in Arabic.

Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Jordan and Iraq :)

  • hii yes it is lebanese there all sorts and dis on is

  • be7yat allah shu hayda elhabal 3amtemza7e aw 3amte7ke jad eza 3amtemza7e maz7a kter 7elwe bas eza jad bala habal w3melela delet ma eda7ke el3alam 3layke

  • خششو في طييزيي

    مش هيييييك

  • @N09ful Hey, not to be all smart ass and what not. But a spanish magazine regarding MEditeranean DNA was published a while ago, it was brought down due to controversy regarding jewish and palestinian dna similarities, but tahts beyond.......

  • @aafaking ......... the point. It did state that arabs are not all the same but are unique from culture to culture. the Iraqi DNA is quite different from an Egyptian DNA. it did claim, however, lebanese DNA is so similar to Syrian DNA. comparing the two is like comparing someone from the same country, always a marginal error, but so similar. so some countries are obviously just split because of politics and religion...

  • goog job guys

  • @N09ful lol u said we arabs are one like DNA yet WIshed only el sham long life :P lol jokes i agree wiv ur comment thu

  • Good Job!! :D

  • what song is this?

  • lol also if you see in egypt there horses do the dabke/arabian horse dance... im sure if you find that kind of horse in another country it will still do the same dance. its known to be egyptian , but still called arabian dancing horse.

  • arabs are one and it is a arab dance, lebanon has a dabkeh and palestine has their dabka. they are both very nice and sooo fun. there are other arab countries but there ways arnt so popular. no one said its only for lebanon, but they are the ones that put it out there alot... they popularised it (if thats a word) . they do it alot , so they became known for doing their dance. peace :)

  • Lebanon is a country that was named 50 years ago, dabke is obviously much older than that therefore it cant be lebanese, please all the lebanese people dont get offended by that because it would be wrong to say that its lebanese when people in palestine, jordan, syria and even iraq dance it

  • @fadi1g

in iraq we do it differently.

I feel the lebanese way of doing it is more dancey than the iraqi way.

  • @Rafdaganga Iraqi way or Kurdish way

  • @fadi1g thank you thank you thank you

and this applies also to the food

  • Dal3ouna and howara are Lebanese songs, invented in the area that is now known as Lebanon today. If you read the Torah you will see that the name LEBANON has existed for thousands of years. The Ottoman's ruling us at one point doesnt erase our history haboub. It is Lebanese...there are other forms that are not Lebanese. But this is a Lebanse form...

  • @fadi1g are you fucking stupid or what? Dabke was Invented In south Lebanon.. seriously fuck dabke is Lebanese

  • hiii sorry i just want to correct you dabka is not lebanese !!!!!!! thats wrong

  • it's levantine (lebanese, jordanian, Palestinian and syrian) and there are also variations of it in Greece, Israel and other Mediterranean countries!

  • @oscarinooable there is no Israel and no Dabkeh in Israel yes they took tha lnad but they can't take dabkeh

  • The "dabkeh" originated in Lebanon where houses were built from stone with a roof made of wood, straw and dirt. The dirt roof had to be compacted which required stomping the dirt hard in a uniform way to compact it evenly. This event of cooperation is called ta'awon and from here comes the word awneh, meaning "help." This developed into the song Ala Dalouna, or roughly translated "Let's go and help". The dabke and the rhythmic songs go together in an attempt to keep the work fun and useful

  • when you say lebanon do you mean the borders today called lebanon, the historical border of mount lebanon, or the east mediteranean coast, which would have to include syria and palestine to an extent

  • Mount Lebanon, Bekaa valley and South Lebanon, the bordering being North Galilee

  • lets include the coastal parts of syria, seems fair to me cause its pretty much the same thing in terms of culture and for the most part language by your definition. i dont say this to be mean it just makes sense to me

  • hala amooretliban

  • @lovemoreulivemore I guess they mean that there are many dabke styles (palestinian, iraqi, syrian, etc) and these steps might be of the Lebanese one

  • @lovemoreulivemore

let me make it clear for you

    Dabke is lebanese

    plus palestine syria and lebanon

they called 'bilad el sham' which were the dabke came from

so dont come here talking like u know

    byeee

  • @lovemoreulivemore

the dabke is the national dance of Lebanon. It is quite Lebanese.

  • @lovemoreulivemore

it is... but its not only Lebanese its Syrian , Jordanian and Palestinian

  • dalz dabkeh is lebanese and it started in ba3albakk

  • dabkeh is lebanese? says who? its amazing how much people want to accredit to their own culture. I'd hate to break it to you, but dabkeh is not lebanese.

  • Capitalize Lebanese...hater. This form of Dabke is Lebanese and there are like three other forms that are also Lebanese.. Hate to break it to you...this form is LEBANESE and mm...dabke was modernized and made even more popular only because of LEBANESE singers such as Fayrouz.

  • hahaha, you're the dumbest person that I've ever met on youtube you know that. I'd hate to break it to u but that area has mixed with each other so much that there's practically no way of telling where dabkeh is from. dabkeh is danced all the way from greece to buldaria to turkey, romaina, ukraine, kurdistan, and many east european and west asian countries. so..if you think lebanese culture and singers was THAT effective...ur totally lost.

  • Are you serious, do you know how to read.... this FORM of dabke is LEBANESE.....!!! lmao

  • its clear that you have no clue what dabkeh is. this is not even a FORM of dabkeh, this is only one MOVE. and this is THE most universal move in dabkeh. the question is what makes you think its lebanese? the answer is nothing, you only think its lebanese because you were probably told it was lebanese. if you're wise, you'd let this argument go...coz there's no way you can win it.

  • Its clear from the way you argue that you are very immature. Your obviously very insecure, for if you were not you would have some respect, maybe that would help you get your point across. For your information, I even as a female, will probably school your butt at dabke, so please dont tell me I dont know what it is. Secondly this is LEBANESE dabke, this is not a MOVE, this is a different variation lol, and its only universal because Lebanese made it popular through their music! and videos!!

  • huh typical arab arguments...when there's no comeback attack the person. First off ur analyzin me a bit too much, so gimme a break and take a step back. speakin of havin repect, u accused me of bein a hater n ur 1st msg 4 not capitalizin lebanese, not knowin that im half lebanese. so dnt sit here and spill my guts out by givin me a lesson on repect wen u didnt shw a hint of it from the start.

  • Secondly there are many forms of dabkes that are exclusive to each country, there are Palestinian dabke variations that are exclusively Palestinian, Syrian dabkes that are exclusively Syrian, this form is LEBANESE, what makes me think it is? Nothing makes me think it is, because IT IS...go look up the origins of this dabke, of dal3ouna and howara then come back and talk. This form of dabke is exclusively Lebanese from the SOUTH...then there are Baalbeck forms as well....So plz 7ile 3anee hater..

  • 2nd, i am in a dabkeh group that has done shows in several countries in the middle east plus paris and london, and believe me, this is not a form. there's no audience willin to watch u repeat wat u see n this video over n over again 4 a whole song. Obviously UR so insecure that ur willin to defy all logic jst to cling on to this argument jst 4 the sake of lebanese pride. u havent been able to provide me with ONE proof since we started this argument.

  • " what makes me think it is? Nothing makes me think it is, because IT IS."

    wow...that wasnt contridicting...AT ALL.

  • @Amooretliban You're right there are dabke unique to their region and area, but i think it is best to avoid political boundries to clasify them. i don't think there is such thing as syrian dabke, or lebanese dabke, not sure how palestinians are split. because in lebanon there are different kinds of dabke, some the same as ones in syria some different and in syria vice versa

  • No one said dabke is Lebanese, your such a hater, why dont you get over your inferiority complex because you sound a bit irrational.... Its amazing how much people are intimidated. Eh haydi el dabke Lebnaniye w iza 3ajabak ;)

  • here we go again, accusations that have no bases. "inferiority complex?" on the contrary, superiority complex on ur behalf, if i recall correctly u so say urself on ur profile "life sucks if ur not lebanese." obviously ur so full of urself and so insecure that u need constant reassurance that ur lebanon is cool, and therefore blindly defendin lebanon with somethin that u have no proof of. if this "form" of dabkeh is SO lebanese, u should be able to prove it. im waiting...

  • @bmwzara Dabke is an arab dance but very popular in lebanon, people dance it all the time. i mean, u sound so disgusted that they said it was lebanese, wow...... gosh, we are amazing people, i dont get why people are so quick to criticize us....

  • good job on the video, but just to put it out there, AINT NUTTIN BETTA DEN DABKEH. I AM MUSLIM PALESTINIAN & I THINK WE ALL KNOW HOW HARD WE GO WHEN WE DO DABKEH, FROM TRADITIONAL TO MODERN DABKEH & MUSIC !. But props to the Lebanese singers, Melhem Zein, Fares Karam, & Assi Helani, those are the ones I am familiar with and have done/TAUGHT dabkeh to besides all the Palestinian Dabkeh music I listen to/use. I am sure many appreciate this video, I will be doing Tutorials whenever the chance.

  • at least put a worthy music to be called dabke music

  • the perfekt job for me ;=)))

  • wow i need this to learn it ..... thanks guys

  • lebanon rules thats why

  • dabke is not a traditional lebaneese. Its a traditional arabic!

  • Good video!!

  • not to get all offensive but sicne when is dabke exclusive to lebanon?

  • Its not but the common form of dabke in the Levant originated in Lebanon although each country and each area has its own variation....

  • @aafaking

are you retarded ? i bet u never been to arabic country in ur life

any country from bilad el sham has dabke

    so shut it

  • @rudylebanese why are you so angry? what did I say that contradicted what you said...

  • @aafaking exactly! im italian and we do the same shit lol
