don't believe so, unless you have a dirty surface, but found that if you rub the clay front to back on the top panels and up and down ons sides you get a better shining result...
@stmaartendude lol uve been lucky. but for ppl thts never clayd and may let the area be a lil to dry. and reach that point where the clay is sticking but hard to feel. u do it in circles and ur paint will mare quicker and show a tone more. now if they over use which is always best there spray detailer or w/e that stuff ur using then its perfectly fine.

I do it all the time, rubbing in small circles, with no adverse effect, whatsoever.
