In the beginning, in the top right corner, is that a daggerfall mage I see? Have you played any Elder Scrolls game besides oblivion Toegoff? Just curious.
This is awesome, I just wish i had friends who do this. I have been wanting to play those online DM type stuff like fantasy grounds, but again no one to play, I've been wanting to get into neverwinternights DMing gaming, might do it once get the game, still great vid thanks
@UndeadClown95 d20 modern gives rules for having guns. If not there are plenty of player created rules to look at. I've created an entire mass effect based game once.
yo, is it possible for sum one to give me a link to print the player hand book 3.5 for free... I got dice i just dont c why I should have to pay for a book to help me learn a new game to play wit my frends...
I got the 4th edition rulebook, just to give things a look, and after reading it I was wondering: What are the express differences between it and 3.5, Basic, Advanced, and 2? Be glad if you or someone could give a response.
Love Pen and Paper RPGing. I am a Game Master, and creating stories and adventures for my friends is great fun! Sharing epic stories together is great, especially if you invest in your characters and NPCs (and add music for dramatic effect!). We play Warhammer RPG, but any pen and paper got potential to be great!
Haha, nice into Toegoff. My group is more of a roleplaying group than a min maxer, but we mix it up. We just spent half a year, once a week, playing through a SIDE QUEST. The real beauty I find in D&D is that we can do things so unexpected and hilarious, we can play for HOURS on end.
Most min maxer would be driven mad by how I build character for lot of my character happen to have odd stat that I simply take for roleplay reason. High wisdom mage, brilliant and charismatic warrior with so-so combat stat, low dexterity thief with high wisdom.
Actually some of my char may include major disadvantage, my Unknown Monk for example, who happen to be Unknown since he's mute.
You don't like 4ed? Interesting. I like it a lot as the ruleset is much, much better than previous versions. It is a bit focused on the hacky-slash which is annoying, but easy enough to get around.
I hate character classes and rolling for stats in any game. Skill-based and point buy are the way to go for me.
@ScreamingDoom Actually one of the main reason for people to hate the 4th edition system is the lack of the extensive magic system of earlier version, at least if you stick to core rule, but like Toegoff said the rule are just guideline.
An interesting talk on D&D. For beginners I would recommend Version 4 rule set it's very easy to get into. Also check out Itunes for gamers heaven they do podcast a group LP of D&D. If you cant find a group try the Fighting Fantasy books by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone.
I'm a supernerd at heart, I love all of these things but I hang out with the "Jocks" (Sports players) who automatically assume that anyone that likes anything slighlty associated with D&D or WarHamer is extremely gay and would pick on anyone who does, and they do. :(

@TheTfreviewer you can say that but it is only based on a misunderstanding of the game.

4th Ed. might be a fantasy game, but for many of us it marks the point where D&D jumped the shark.
