5.7x28mm has close to the same ballistics as the .22 Winchester Mag. Cool gun, but it's kinda pricey at $1000. Not very many ammo options for civilian use either.
@warthog570 This gun can penetrate armor if you are using the SS190 AP FMJ round, but the civilian round, SS 195 JHP is not armor piercing. Ballistics for 5.7x28mm, 28 gr JHP (Velocity 2350 ft/s) (Energy 344 ft. lbs.) Ballistics for the 22 Win. Mag. 30 gr HP (Velocity 2200 ft/s) (Energy 322 ft lbs). They are both much closer than you think!

Shooting a small target that far away isnt as easy as it looks. I tried with my Glock 17 and it took more than a few rounds to hit a water bottle. I did it in less than 30 rds : )
I know I'm going to get hate comments for this but for the money ($1000+), I would rather get a 500 S&W. Don't get me wrong though, I still like the FN 5.7 but if I had to choose I would get the 500 S&W.
@cartman934life You've got a legit point if you're talking about a gun that you're taking to the range and showing off. The FiveseveN is the clear choice between the two (and between most other guns) if you're looking for a carry firearm. The cartridge's smaller size means 20 round standard clips. That's a big deal if you're in a situation where you can't readily reload.
I loled at the "dont leave comments about my bad aim" lol, I aint the best of shot with a pistol either (dead eye with my hunting rifle though), but I mean, its all about just going out and putting rounds downfield, regardless of whether or not u hit anything, its still fun (although, it is more fun to hit the targets so your buddies dont rib on u the whole time

Hey streetstream, it´s not so simple. Less guns mean less gun related violence. That´s true. But it doesn´t mean less violence. What about Britain and their ban since 1996? They banned guns, then knives and boxers and stuff like this. And the result? Violence in GBR is still growing, number of serious crimes too. I live in a country in the EU in which the number of guns is still increasing, but number of murders and serious crimes decreasing. It´s a matter of many many factors.

Shooting a small target that far away isnt as easy as it looks. I tried with my Glock 17 and it took more than a few rounds to hit a water bottle. I did it in less than 30 rds : )

I know I'm going to get hate comments for this but for the money ($1000+), I would rather get a 500 S&W. Don't get me wrong though, I still like the FN 5.7 but if I had to choose I would get the 500 S&W.

@cartman934life You've got a legit point if you're talking about a gun that you're taking to the range and showing off. The FiveseveN is the clear choice between the two (and between most other guns) if you're looking for a carry firearm. The cartridge's smaller size means 20 round standard clips. That's a big deal if you're in a situation where you can't readily reload.

I loled at the "dont leave comments about my bad aim" lol, I aint the best of shot with a pistol either (dead eye with my hunting rifle though), but I mean, its all about just going out and putting rounds downfield, regardless of whether or not u hit anything, its still fun (although, it is more fun to hit the targets so your buddies dont rib on u the whole time

No matter who u are and how good u are with a gun, if ur getting robbed u should always give ur money. Ur life is more valuable then anything. And at the range u are getting robbed, im sure ur not going to miss. And if u have a gun jammed into ur neck i dont think anyone is going to go for their own gun. Maybe u should do what i did and take some Krav Maga classes.

I agree, but yeah I would just blast the fucker out of the asshole that tries to steal my wallet. I own the Judge. Not an expensive piece actually, it was around $800 here in Canada. But I also own the five-seven. The ammo is really hard to find in Canada.

If there was no limit to how much I could bring in. I would bring in lots and store that. But yeah Canada has the dumbest gun laws.

Ahm.....NO. I live in Tennessee. I can use deadly force in the defense of MY PERSONAL PROPERTY, and my wallet is- pay close attention now- MY PROPERTY. hundreds of people are robbed a day and only like 2 are shot, if u just look up the people that are shot then YES u will only read about the people that were shot. I was mugged in Philadelphia 2 times, gave my wallet and they left. Sometimes theres gang that will just shoot u, sometimes they will shoot u after u give them ur wallet. But if someone has a gun drawn and it is aimed at u, i DOUBT that u are so quick that u can draw ur gun and put one in their head before they can pull the trigger

Hey streetstream, it´s not so simple. Less guns mean less gun related violence. That´s true. But it doesn´t mean less violence. What about Britain and their ban since 1996? They banned guns, then knives and boxers and stuff like this. And the result? Violence in GBR is still growing, number of serious crimes too. I live in a country in the EU in which the number of guns is still increasing, but number of murders and serious crimes decreasing. It´s a matter of many many factors.
