Interesting, I recently upgraded my standard Xeno power set to the Tuning kit from MSL and it came with the metal shaft. No problems fitting it or the bearing, went together without issue
@frogbmth Hiya Frog, indeed, there "shouldnt" be any problem fitting it, so long as people dont glue the bearing in place, but on mine, the bearing didnt fit into its hole at all, not even close, I had to dremel out some of the inside of the hole so that the bearing would then fit in, tightly. Now I'm just having teething issues launching it as I havent figured the safest way to launch it yet, with or without the power on??? Discuss or normal throw from the grips underneath???
@123RCUK I launch with just over half power using the indents inderneath, not the safest way no doubt. There has been a lot of discussion in the RCGroups thread about launching, seems to be ok with no power but not good with low power. Some using discus method ok too. I also programmed a mix on my flight switch for a little up elev for launching to stop it sagging in the first few metres.
@frogbmth I've tested this a few times now, just throwing the Xeno as hard as possible, with no power, balancing it out until it glides on its own for quite some distance, so I think now, I should be able to throw it, fairly hard, then power on, but even with mine, I'm using a bigger than recommended battery, and still had to add around 25g of lead weights in the front to get it to balance properly, although mine is spray painted, and has the lights in the wings too :-)
