  • WHAT THE HECK !? 7 UP !?!?!

  • Damn fido dido burning in hell:(lol

  • this one was an experiment and lack of utinsels. anyway, good work, but i think seafood are bad for overcooking. and this shrimp are not fresh and was destroyed by to much stir.

  • ay mga ilonggo sila....banat da to

  • ... i think it's ok to cook shrimp in sprite... in some restaurants, they even cook meat with coca cola... delish!

  • mas masarap yan kung lutuin nyo na my konting olive oil tas bawang.. sarap nyan!

  • Tama si gleoncios - the cooking environment and the poeple cooking the food all look very dirty.

Bakit BABOY? Baboy pagkaluto, hahaha

  • lol. I heard a rooster in the background!

  • what does the sprite do? does it add flavor??

  • makes it sweet

  • parang marumi at sure ako napakakunat ng hipon na yan....1 oras ata pinakuluan!!! ^^

  • sarap saw sawan nyan suka tapos may bawang

  • Very cool, Im sure the wood fire gave it a good taste! Thanks for sharing

  • u can hear that there killing a pig

  • I agree with you, Munsela. Seafood should never be overcooked. The men cooking in this video look like they are just "lasenggero sa kanto". They are clueless about what they are doing..

  • dapat sinipsip mo yong ulo mas masarap yong kaysa laman.

  • super

  • He needs a bigger cover...underestimated the size of that wok!

  • wow 7-up on my food?? did he used 7-up because the water they use for drinking taste nasty??

  • didn't know it? It adds flavor, dude. Sodas, wine, beer etc...

  • yuk they didnt even clean the shirmp..

  • You better try cooking with sprite... is better.... OMG!!!! what a clean way of cooking shrimps!!!!

  • this is the oriental style. its part of the mojo.. i love shrips :)

  • holy crap that looks good! I'm hungry for shrimp now T_T

  • Wow flies.. who gives a shit?

I would eat all that shrimp.

  • Looks very good to me- Sounds like bacon and eggs for breakfast-

  • it;s provably easier to just boil it in water and mix 7-up & beer to make the sauce.sweet &sour

  • That is such a gross way of cooking!!

    looks dirty yuck.

  • it looks dirty. yuck

  • the description of the video is cooking shrimp with 7-up.why some people like to find something bad to comment. You are just watching anyway, nobody ask u to eat those flies!arte nyo!lalo ka na honeypie37.baka langawin ka sa kaartehan mo!

  • Look very dirty. What country is this from??

  • Yummmmmm

  • thanks for sharing! I would love to try it some day!

  • sarap naman

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm those flys look good

  • my mom also cooks shrimps with Sprite. they're yummy.. it has a sweet taste. she does it in crabs too..

  • I think this has originated form Nilasing na hipon but instead of using Beer or wine for marinating, they used 7-UP that gives the shrimp a sweet taste. Chili seeds or paprika maybe added for spice.

  • Probably because 7-Up is the only soda that don't have caffeine in it and the soda contain variaties of lime.

  • how does that taste?

  • why not coke or sprite why seve up?

  • No Sprite on hand that day!

  • ikkan yo met ti rikado ah?mas masarap yan pag may bawang, sili, sibuyas!

  • FLIES ARE EVERYWHERE

  • bring out the whisky

  • susmaryosep!... ang arti nyo naman.

  • sarap

  • damk2!!!

  • Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

  • Thanks, Bubba.

  • bubuh that you ??? LOL

  • iasam mo rin yong mga langaw

  • damn as much as i love shrimp as much i felt sick watchin this video

  • wuts the 7up do? carmelize em?

  • lol that was soo water..... yet its filipino style!! brap Brap!

  • Ahahaha...

  • LOL! i agree!

  • walang kwenta UNGGOY!!

  • nilalangaw!...

  • Yes - Lots of Flies! haha

  • looks yummy-some onions, garlic and pepper would be nice.

  • i take the shells off

  • (george) fat joes

  • However tartly some remarks are, I find the dish mouth-watering. I wouldn't mind eating the dish in this surrounding because I've grown very inured to it. I spent much of my childhood in an environment like this--simple, rustic yet more cordial. In contrast, some seemingly clean, decent and expensive foods taste terrible.

  • True. Some of the yummiest food in the world aren't found in nice cozy restaurants. Some restaurant kitchens are also not the cleanest of places. People should read Kitchen Confidential to learn of the hygienic horrors in some restaurants.

  • The shrimps are huge!!!!

  • LOL - You couldn't pay me to eat that shit. They're cooking it on a dirt floor with pigs and chickens making noises in the background. The fucking cook has the dirties feet and hands I've ever seen. He uses 7up and takes a drink afterward (wonder how many drinks he took before when he was filling the bottle with his spit?). When the shit is finally ready, they place it in plates on a filthy counter with flies all over the place. Yum Yum!

  • yes..i wouldn't either.. hehe..but usually, those who do this call them "pulutan" most likely guys would eat this when they have their drinking sessions.,wenk

  • i lived in the philippines for a long a time and im going back for summer break soon. i cant wait to try this lol

  • Also, i think if the shrimp didnt have the shells on then it mite absorb some of those flavours better?

  • Clearly the taste isnt that important if they are cooking with 7 up

and it would take ages to de shell all of thoes, they are probly cooking fro alota people

  • Nope. You need the shells on to have more flavor. Half the flavor of shrimp and shellfish in general is extracted out of the shells.

  • No, the shells help keep the flavour.

  • Even i if he drank it then poured some in...its all getting cooked. All the bateria gets cooked and is dead.

  • i know that....

  • well i know that food is good, but look how you all people the way you cook your using the sprite for cooking and then ur drinking it at the same time ,you think is hygienic ?the place is so dirty, look at the surrounding, please before you put video on youtube can u all review it , so embarrassing ..

  • Sorry it was so dirty - It was not my house. They are lucky to have a home as big as they do.

  • wow you're a dumbass. not everyone in this entire world needs to live up your standards of hygiene, nor do they have access to clean surroundings. like juedm said, they're lucky to have a home as big as they do, he shouldn't have apologized to you.

  • How can you take this girls comment seriously if her favorite video is "backstreetboys reunion"

  • well that food is good i know , but look at way you all people cook, your using the sprite to cook and then your drinking it to at the same time ,the place so dirty, you should not put it on you tube is so embarrassing, what will people say around the world when they watch this ,better think first before you put things on youtube.

  • Actually - it was so hot that he just Finished the last swallow for himself. If it wasn't a Dirt Patio, maybe it could be Cement and Lumber ans Steel like America, nice and pretty, and using up lots of resources.

  • hey honneypie37, what gives you the right to tell someone should be embarrassed about the way they live? Do you live in a developed country? If yes and if you haven't been exposed to the other parts of the world, its called IGNORANCE. And the remarked about cooking w/ spritem ppl here in the US put coke cans up the rear ends of CHICKENS and cook them. I'm not saying I have a right to say YOU should be embarrassed by your remarks, but think twice before u critique someone else's land.

  • this is theeee best, man. you don't even need pepper or whatever. you can add a bit of sugar, too.

  • this recipe is good if u do 2 things: marinate the shrimp in lemon juice first, then add a red pepper to it as its cooking in the 7up.

  • this is for real, im filipino and my mom does it all the time

  • O_O Lol nice

You guys really use 7-Up huh? Haha wonder how it would taste like :]

There's a recipe I know that use coke and boiled it with chicken. Tasted good, like Chinese soup. But how we did it's much cleaner than this tho.

Anyways, thanks for the post xD

  • i wonder how chicken with coke would taste, but then, gotta try first before commenting

  • this girl is dumb

  • garlic shrimp wow really good!

  • I dont think that they use 7 up, its more likely that yhe bottle is filled with water!

  • Ah! - 7up very cheap in Phils!

  • mmmm interesting

  • misrable disgusting -

  • I watched this, and decided I had to try it out, I used fresh shrimp, one bottle of 7up, and it turned out ok, the shrimp just has a sweeter taste, but not too much. But the 7up smells really weird when it is cooking.

  • nasty filipinos!

  • nasty you! untravelled poor shit!

  • yeah! what a pathetic ignorant!

  • We think you comment to other users, being from Phils and such...

  • Discriminitive ass.

  • shrimps look way overcooked and I would skip the 7-UP

  • overcooking things in a tropical country with limited refrigeration is a really good idea.

  • yes man yuck

  • yuck!!!!

  • SHRIMP R SO YUMMY :)!

  • Wait now i now it was in the Phillippines. Cause you replied to someone elses comment.

  • I dont care if there were flies... But i have the feeling bad feeling :[.

  • Actually, the Shrimp were Cleaned before Cooking and I felt just fine after eating them! They tasted good too. How many shrimp can one person eat anyways? There were plenty to go around.

  • I would eat that shrimp too.

Yep as i said i dont care about the flies.

    Shrimp is yummy.

Just one question, were they deveined or peeled?

i like peeled shrimp i hate peeling.

Looked like the skin was still on. But was this in the Phillippines? im phillippino.

  • Whole with the heads on and not deveined. In Phils, as you know some people like to eat the whole thing just like that. But I don't like eating the legs and shell, must be a western thing I guess.

  • k thanks.
