this bass is superb, IMHO. i love mine. ive added a Gotoh 201 bridge (much cheaper, and, from what i hear, just as good as the badass), and rotosound 66's, and this bass is even that much more beautiful (clearer sound, bigger sustain). its got that crunch, growl and mids-punch that sound fantastic on a fretless. actually i have a recording on my page of myself playing "Continuum" by Jaco, if anyone wants to hear what the bass sounds like. (that recording was done before my mods)
I bought one about a year ago, even without very much experience..and it has improved my playing drastically..it delivers amazing mid-range sound, especially when you play with a pick or slap&pop..extremely cheap for a great bass.
fretless ?

Very sexy.. Wow.. I'm so torn apart now! I gotta get myself to GC so I can test that rig out! Such a great sound from that bass!!!!
I can't decide in the least... Ack!!!
Jazz V Active 5-string or this beautiful sounding fretless four string. I've always wanted a fretless, but that five string drives me nuts too!
