Does it matter if water pressure makes impossible for a nuclear sub to get windows? And does it matter if the fish tail doesn´t fit on hydrodinamic? NO! Because this makes the better looking fiction ship (or boat, one could say) from all times. Thanks.
to think that a program whose star is a futurisic submarine was on prime time tv just blows my my mind, today the demographic is pregnant teenage girls. too bad for america
The thing is this: all the principle characters looked like they all could have been in the Navy at one time in their lives (before becoming actors) -- like Ernest Borgnine. This show was fantastic for its time.
@OLDSMARKARL Wow, I also would like to know where the music came from! Was it from the CDs that were released several years ago containing music from most of Irwin Allen's TV shows? Thanks! Great work on the video as well.
One thing I had wished for so many years (during the 70s) that a scale model of the "newer" or refitted version of the Seaview had been produced. I had several models of the original Seaview. I forgot if they were from Monogram or Revell.
@ACLTony Hi, if you're still looking for the "refit" version of the Seaview, Polar Lights/Moebius models makes a small scale version (about 1/350) for about $25....you can order them thru Squadron.com. There is also a three foot version including control room for about $100 on the same site, just search Seaview.....enjoy.
@OLDSMARKARL - Hey, thanks so much! I'll check out the website. I have fond memories of watching the show back in the late 60s sitting in the living room with my parents. Those were good times.
@OLDSMARKARL Hi again Tony....In case you didn't see it on the Squadron.com website there is also a "display version" of the kit I was talking about for about $40.....already made and ready for display (season 2-4 version with four-window nose and Flying Sub bay) ....take care and it has been nice chatting with another fan of the show....sincerely, Karl
My best days in the 70's. BEST SOUND VIDEO EVER. This 45 years old Brazilian just got a trip to the past.......

For those who loved the show this video is a beautiful tribute to the sub itself, with help from our heroes.

Not bad, but I always thought that the 8 window bow looked a lot cooler than the later 4 window version. the 4 window nose look kinda lame.
