i don't see how this demonstrates the usefulness of this knife i mean the more bottle you put in front of it doesn't mean it sharper i assume it would cut the first bottle the same as the last, the only thing that effects the end result would be the force you applied,so the reason you didn't cut the last bottle was because you didn't have enough force coming at the end of your swing,i think you would need a something tougher than a plastic water bottle to show the better qualities of the knife

@Kanathemea It's both, was originally a survival knife then the marines started using it in ww2 and was lengthened by 2 inches. Because of the grind its more suited for combat in my opinion. Its alittle to light and the spine is abit thin for chopping wood but its ok if you baton on it to split wood. It really depends what your looking for.
