This trailer is from the 1974 re-release of the movie. The movie was released to theaters. The movie was actually a TV special from 1967 which is less than an hour long. The Beatles wrote, directed, and produced the TV special. Critics were expecting another A Hard Day's Night. Instead, the TV special was free-form and experimental and avante-garde in nature featuring "I Am The Walrus" and "Death Cab For Cutie".

@doomlordkaka MMT is more passable if one thinks of it as an unconnected series of music videos. Something like "Yellow Submarine," with a minimal plot and stunning visuals, is more my speed.
