I was in this battle on the cva+friends side, flying a moros. It was the first time i had flown a cap ship. Our capital FCs were inexperienced with the whole thing including high lag situations.....was like waterloo for us.
@WilltheGamer I can see where these aspects would turn away some players. In the end though, it's these time intensive parts of the game that make the powerful players more powerful and the weaker players weaker. That way you don't get a bunch of newbie players max leveling their characters in 6 weeks and then just running around killing everything. The losses hurt a lot more, but the wins are bigger too.
Buddy of mine was in the attacking side of that, CVA decided they wanted some new territory, and so -A- decided to put them in their place from what I was told.
wow, I know what EVE is, but I understand NONE of the lingo used lol. and to be quite honest, couldn't hardly tell what was going on. Looked cool though. A small ship rushes in, light show, more bigger ships comes, even nicer light show with star trek-ish phaser fire, the weird electrified bubbles.
Some annotations, sort of a blow by blow, would be cool.
The 'small' ships at the begining are actually dreadnoughts, and are fairly large as far as ships in eve go. the flashing bluish glow from the ships is a sensor booster effect, which lets them lock targets faster. the ships in this battle can take 30 seconds or more to lock a target, even without the lag in this fight. The flashier weapon effects are doomsday weapons, which ought to be self explanatory. And the electrified bubble is a warp disruption field, which keeps people from running away.
heres the gist of it, CVA hides in POS, -A- comes in and starts shooting, -A- bumps CVA out of bubble and continues to fire, its a turkey shoot at this point
I was i that fight in my sweet rev <3 and in my pheonix
Yea I Am in -A- but still props to cva and friends for even showing .
Even when we roll with 100 caps there have been a few times where decided to stand down when facing grid load of a vastly larger enemy cap fleet in USTZ
I SWEAR TO YOU.. I WAS THERE lol

Eve always had some interesting concepts to me but the heavy reliance on money and time spent to train in the game turned me off it.
